Why a Q70 and not a Q90r? I don’t think the Q70 would come close to the image quality of the C9.

Q90 is £1000 more lol. My budget was £1000 to start, but if I can get the q70 for £1200 I'm happy. I'm trying not to waste money at the moment and trying to buy a property

Q70 looks terrible in the shops if you move slightly off centre, really washed out. If you’re looking at Samsung you’d want Q80 or above for the viewing angle filter. The OLED’s definitely have more ‘wow’ factor tho

I'm needing a 65" tele. 55 is what I've had for almost 5 years now so wanting that bit bigger.

I sit bang on in the middle so viewing angles dont bother me. I've done loads or homework on the q70 and it's a really good tele. Like I say I'll be happy if it goes to £1200 but if not pay the price it is.
I'd love a 65" OLED but prices are still up, I've got the money just trying to not spend it on stuff I don't really need. This site doesn't help

Each to their own but I’d never sacrifice quality over a bigger tv.

At £1000 you’d be buying a reference level oled 55 inch. The Q70r would be a basic low level Qled at £1200 just because it’s 65inch.

Can only advise you from experience but decision ultimately is yours.

Yeah I’m in a similar situation but need the angles. Got a 55 Philips that does my head in with bugs, etc, so just got the cheap 58 Philips that was on here a few weeks ago hoping it’d be better, but that was still crap.
So now looking at spending a bit more and getting a B9 OLED or the Q80. Trying to decide on 55 again or if 65 is worth the extra, sit about 9 feet away

Has to be 65" mate, I'm not going back to a 55" as I've had one close to 5 years now, just wanting a little upgrade. Any tele I get is going to be better than what I had as it was just 1080p
I had q70r so bad on movie I bought Sony ag9 oled omg amazing
What are the main differences between this (C9) and the B9? Is it just an improved processor? Is it worth the extra cost over the B9?
Anyone got this price without proof of Costco membership?

But it's about £1k more expensive and unfortunately outside of my budget. I suppose you can keep creeping up in cost as you add more features but need to set your upper limit at some point :/

I looked at the qleds and it so nearly convinced me to buy one instead of an OLED but I stuck to my guns for now. I'm thinking with the new TCL film on with quantum dot, plus microled for backlighting allowing for 5,000 out even 25,000 dimming zones that will be enough to be good enough in the shadows that the extra brightness is worth it but that's a few years away.
However I wouldn't pick the Q70 to me it's just LCD quality, In the UK you need to go for Q85 (not Q80) or Q90 as alot of the tech has been pushed up the range to the higher series TVs
