  • 4K Ultra HD with upscaling - incredible picture quality
  • Supports dynamic HDR for stunning, realistic colour
  • Smart TV - catch up, movies & more
  • Nano Cell tech maintains colour accuracy at wide angles
  • Compatible with Google Home and Amazon Alexa

Gather your friends for the big game in front of this gorgeous 55 inch LG LED TV. Thanks to the crystal-clear 4K Ultra HD resolution, the beautiful game will look even better, with upscaling giving HD and Full HD content a visual boost too. Plus, Technicolor Advanced HDR fills your screen with vibrant, lifelike colours that’ll bring you closer to the pitch. You won’t have to jostle for position either, since Nano Cell technology means you’ll get a good view no matter where in the room you’re sat. And it connects to the internet too, letting you check any results or watch matches with catch-up and streaming services. Plus, if you’ve lost the remote while celebrating your team’s win a bit too vigorously, you can use voice commands via Google Home or Amazon Alexa to change channel or lower the volume.

We want you to fully enjoy your new TV, so please be careful when unpacking it – pull it out of the box using the edges so that you don’t damage the screen. If you need to return your TV for any reason, we just ask that you don’t pack the plug in front of the screen as it could damage the TV in transit.

YouTube keeps giving me the advert for this while I watch on my not-even-12month-old LG OLED so at the min I’m sick of seeing this tv. Looks decent though
My sister bought the 8200 last week and the edge back LED lighting is getting things very wrong on dark scenes. If there is a person on the screen with a dark background, the back light illuminates an entire vertical band where the person is, making the black above the persons head dark grey. She sent me a video and it was horrendous. Will be interesting to see if this suffers the same. Is this a low end FALD?

I think this is a fald TV.... I'm trying to find info on it and it's a bit sparse. Rtings.com have the 8600 on review and say its fine but not amazing.

This seems good for 800 etc but I need more info and testing to make a choice

Thanks nekoangel. I'm asking the question as sometimes Currys have an exclusive model which is nearly identical to that of others. My sisters 8200 was bought from Currys.

So this years model better??

A step backwards with the exception of HDMI 2.1. In the US they are known as the 9000 series. LG SK9000 is the US version of the SK8500 and the SM9000 is the US version of this. Best save a few hundred quid and get the brighter panel with better contrast unless HDMI 2.1 is hugely important to you.
