LG Package Deal - LG-SL5Y & LG-55SM8600PLA LG’s SM86 TV delivers visceral visuals with NanoCell technology. A 4K Local Dimming screen combines with Dolby Atmos sound and Dolby Vision HDR for a cinematic experience. Its state-of-the art intelligent processor analyses every scene with advanced audiovisual AI tuning, so it’s always a superb picture. Use LG’s award-winning webOS Smart platform to stream shows from such apps as Netflix*, and navigate with the intuitive Magic Remote. With this Thinq AI TV you can interact by voice, with the Google Assistant and Alexa built in.

4K Cinema HDR with Dolby Vision
HDR deepens your view and shows shades previously unseen in home entertainment. Expanding light, dark and every colour in between to extraordinary new levels, this model's picture gets closer to real life. LG's 4K Cinema HDR supports multiple HDR formats including Dolby Vision, Advanced HDR by Technicolor and HDR10 Pro.

4K Ultra High Definition
This 55” screen has four times the number of pixels than 1080p Full HD TVs, delivering stunning realism, natural motion and incredible detail.

Features:

NanoCell Display: LG's NanoCell technology means each individual pixel is only one nanometre apart for impeccable colour precision and volume, for outstanding picture quality, viewed from any angle.

Local Dimming for ULTRA Luminance: Dimming zones independently throughout the screen expands the contrast range. It gives brighter whites, darker blacks, and enhances detail in the deepest shadows.

Alpha 7 Gen 2 Processor: The second generation intelligent processor is optimised for LG’s NanoCell screen, for a premium LED picture of exceptional clarity and brightness, whatever you’re watching.

Dolby Atmos Sound: immersive Dolby Atmos places sound within three dimensions for an enveloping soundscape, with you at the centre. Coupled with Dolby Vision HDR, it's a fully cinematic experience.

Thinq AI: bringing the intelligence and convenience of voice interaction to the living room, this Thinq AI TV can listen, think and respond to your questions.

4K High Frame Rate via HDMI : With full HDMI 2.1 compatibility, this LG TV can handle High Frame Rates for smoother motion, so even the most frantic sporting action is crisp and blur-free.

LG SL5Y 2.1 Channel Sound Bar with DTS Virtual:X Sound For sound that feels like it surrounds you, the LG SL5Y 2.1 Wireless Sound Bar has DTS Virtual:X. Action films, dramas, and sports will feel all that more immersive as it lifts the audio overhead.

And for true surround sound you can add optional SPK9-S wireless rear speakers (sold separately) to boost the sound power.

Adaptive Sound Control

There's no need to change sound presets each time you change the channel. The sound bar can automatically adjust the sound to suit what you're watching, so you get booming sound for action and clear dialogue for the news.

High-Resolution Audio

The SL5Y isn't just for your TV. Listen to music from your smartphone with Bluetooth. Or delight your inner audio buff with High-Resolution Audio sound that'll make you feel like you're in the recording studio

You could probably complain and ask for the difference or threaten to return it. I'm not sure what Hughes are like, but bigger chains sometimes honour these things. Might be worth a try.
Booo. Bought this for £600 a few weeks ago but without the soundbar, which is worth a lot more than £24 it would seem.

They did when I bought a washing machine from them through ebay. Just called them and they were happy to refund the difference

I'm happy with it, sound bar is decent if nothing spectacular. Picture quality is good. OS is very good. Really I just got bored of looking at TV's on here so took the plunge.

Err, well in general yes it's amazing and picture is great... Except there is quite a lot of light bleed from the bottom.
