Fail to see a point buying tvs from Amazon when you can get similar deals from shops with 5 year warranty. May not be at this price right now but tons of deals for similar tvs all the time.
So, not hot for me personally as 5 year peace of mind is really necessary for tvs in this age
Under questions about this product.. the banter is killing me

Q: Does it come with a Warrant?

A: Yes. Be sure to have handcuffs and a truncheon at the ready

Not that much more than the sale prices last year and cheap even if you use it as a big computer monitor with TV extras!

Can’t find any reviews regarding this model other than user reviews.
i added heat but tv screen not bright i had this tv before for price good value
Just managed to get this from very, with a 20% email specific discount code for £399.……… but I’m now concerned that I didn’t take an extended warranty, given some views around reliability. Are TV’s in this age really that unreliable?
I’m upgrading from an 11 year old Panasonic plasma.

I’m sure they will snap your hand off if you call up to buy a warranty, your discount would have not worked on the warranty anyway. I think like anything nowadays they are designed to fail !
Just be careful though as you may end up paying more than if you went to John Lewis or richer sounds by the time you have added warranty. Also some of warranty’s are junk, Argos t and cs say if they replace tv then warranty ends !
We purchased one of these for the man cave a few weeks ago when Curry's had them at £499
Cracking picture and plugged into the PS4 .... Awesome
Has freeview , freesat , Amazon , WiFi
I was quite impressed by it tbh for the price
Ours has a boomerang style stand
Heat added

If you listen to half the balls spouted on here by so-called self-styled TV gurus, you’d never buy another TV again.

Yeah, it's much better to live in ignorance and blind buy without having any clue about what you're actually getting. You a Brexit voter by any chance?

Nothing, only the stands differ. Rest of the specs are the same

I hate to say it, but you're definitely not upgrading.
I bought this TV -43” for £249 just after xmas. I liked the TV for the price. Easy to install, operate and web os is bit faster and stable. Watched Netflix 4K movies - looks great. But I do agree the TV has considerable depth and you have edit HDR mode to make it bit bright.

Well the Panasonic has no USB, is only HD, no freeview play, weighs a ton, only 2 HDMI, not smart TV and emits enough heat to warm the lounge, so it must be an upgrade of sorts.

Just as FYI, the 55UJ670V is £579 at both John Lewis and Richer Sounds, which has brighter screen, 4 HDMI ports, slimmer set and a silver chassis (if that’s your thing). 5yr warranty at JL, 6yr at RS.

My LG PK590 plasma has just developed a dud line of pixels down the screen. Occasionally notice it so thinking of upgrading. Had assumed LED would have caught up by now! Do you reckon wait until OLED drops in price?

Amazon service and returns are fantastic if anything happens during the first year. Anything after that, you're on your own and have to resort to a SOGA (Sale of Goods Act) Claim which, contrary to what some here will tell you, is a fair amount of pain to go through. I'd always pay an extra 10% ish for a TV from RS or JL for this very reason.

This is still not a bad price for this TV if a one year warranty is your thing. Heated.
Gone for this. Went for a like new warehouse deal for another £30 off.
price has gone up - marked as expired

It's just a subjective opinion at the end of the day, but if you're used to plasma I don't think you're going to enjoy affordable LCD/LED. Maybe top of the range with local dimming and a 10bit panel and obviously OLED - but it doesn't come cheap!

There's nothing about what you describe that doesn't get me teary eyed for the good old days.
