Bought the same model in 43" a few weeks back. Had to return it, as picture was quite dark & poor. If you weren't sitting right in front & in line, pic was horrible.

It is amazing in 2017, companies cannot make a TV that just works as it should do.

Totally agree with you. Bought the 630V without even thinking that it would act like that. Previous LGs I've had were always great. Was gutted, as it's supposed to be IPS = 178 degrees of same, clear viewing; but wasn't.

hi there so these two tv's Samsung MU7000 or LG 55SJ850 both around £900 are on very, the samsung is 899 and the lg is 999 but is due to be reduced at 8pm so will be around 800-950 ish i would guess, so basically similar spec both came out within last year both 4k hdr 10 55 inch... both reviewed on most sites as 8-9/10 or 4/5 stars so both good, im really stuck at what to buy, is there an obvious TECH difference in specs or something ive missed, fo netlix, and odd gaming, both seem fine is there really, any big difference that would help me, my kids are going mad without a family tv and i dont wanna buy one and then 2 weeks later someone says ohh, you should of bought this one its better because xxxxxx.... thanks for any help people can give, i really appreciate it. also dont need other stores better deals, just moved house so my banks wiped out, very is buy now pay later so ideal even if slightly more expensive. cheers.

No, the 178° figure was always supposed to be legibility and always measured when contrast dropped to 10:1. Actual noticable deterioration happened much sooner.

Wish I knew back then & had checked the TV out thoroughly before purchasing it. RS initially charged me 15% depreciation charge for returning the set, but their rep here got in touch & received all my money back - Not a bad outcome, but disappointed by LG for sure.

Very good site to compare every last detail displayspecifications.com/en/…38d As you look down I personally would go for the Samsung just seems to have the edge over the LG in regard to picture quality, power consumption, way more features and plays more file formats

Just the size and weight that is different it says on the LG website.

I have the 55UJ635V and really impressed with it.
Got the 635V for £494 last week at Argos with the FLASH10 code (now expired)
