Moza_uk call Argos up and tell them you bought it less than a week ago. They might refund you the price if you are lucky. Happened to my sister.

For the price I paid I'm very happy with it the screen technology was why I purchased it because of the better quality of the backlighting. The quality is clearly better than many of my other friends 4k models and the HDR works very nice. Very smooth motion for the price of this deal it's well worth considering imo.

My only regret is I should have waited and purchased it today. I think you'll be happy with this model plus it's a 2017 model where LG made many improvements over their 2016 models that was another selling point which prompted my purchase.

Hope this helps you.

Thanks. I will check if currys will price match as I have a voucher for there. Really helpful, thanks again.

I tried phoning them up but not getting through i'm near the "corby" branch in Oasis retail park. I might take a trip to the store £79 back would be very nice and thanks for the info, much appreciated.

It’s 8 Bit and RGBW if anyone was wondering. I think most of LG’s 2017 LCD line up uses RGBW and the cheapest model I’ve found with true 10 bit is the 49SJ800V but is it really worth paying extra for 10 Bit HDR when it’s still just a 3K set in disguise

Are there any websites with reviews of this tv? Also does anybody know what LG tv’s are like for gaming

Currys have just priced match this for me, just added it to the basket and then went on the online chat, very helpful they give you a code to enter at checkout that price matches it

How's input lag in this model for gaming?

Bought this in Currys on Sunday £599 just wondering if they price match as not opened box yet

If you're going to insist on full colour resolution then you won't be buying any 4K HDR content either as that's all 4:2:0. That's a silly reason to avoid this TV.

Their website says they price match for up to 7 days after you've bought from them, so if I were you I'd get down there sharpish before your 7 days are up

How about the 3K issue? IMO the cheapest decent 4K LCD set is the Samsung UE49KS8000 from 2016 which can be had for £799 from rgbdirect and if you don’t want to spend that much you would be better off buying a decent Full HD TV.

Edit: I nearly bought the 2016 8000 series Samsung over the LG OLED I ended up going for. If I needed a second tv it would definitely be the 8000 as even though the price is relatively high you get what you pay for. That said, WebOS is a big selling point alone.

What issue? I've only heard about it causing problems when used in an unusual manner, such as up close as a PC monitor. Even sites that spend all day reviewing high end TVs like HDTV test have said there's no difference in detail from normal viewing distances.

HDR10 is a content format, not a hardware specification.

Having dithering or a native 10-bit panel helps avoid colour banding, it's not particularly related to HDR.

Same price at john Lewis with a 5 year warrenty.

Edit: Just saw the 10% voucher code in OP. Its £549 from JL but imo the 5 year warranty may be worth the difference.

Should have re- worded it as you said its a true 10 bit panel .. when its a faux 10bit RGBW panel

Ordered, seems like a bargain for 55” 4K.

Was in the market for a 4k tv so been out to pick one up of these up via click and collect with the 10% code, what a bargain.

Looking good so far in general use, software is well better than that of my previous Samsung. Still need to test with some 4k Netflix and Blu-Ray though.

OP needs to update the deal price to
show the £497 price.
would be much hotter if it was at £497

How did you get on??

Got £50 back wanted to give me voucher for in-store at Currys but got it put back on bank card thank you for putting this on

I bought this last Friday from Argos, for £499 - £49 barclays cashback so cost me £450 only!

It's an amazing TV and don't listen to people who quotes technical BS about HDR and RBGW panel, if you don't care you don't notice, it is an amazing TV for the price!

The code isn't working now. Any other codes around?
