Sorry OP, this one also has very dark picture & terrible viewing angles. Viewed one in RS a few days back. Suitable for those who're not gonna wall mount this & view this from anywhere but dead front.

The Samsung MU6400 looked really good with viewing angles & brightness and the LG 800v/810V too. Best was Sony MU7000 & some Panasonic models. Thinking of checking out the LG 701V (43") in curry's today to see how good that is as it is much cheaper than all TVs I just mentioned, but my hopes aren't too much abt the 701V.

Don't know about this particular model, but the Sony's from XE8xxx series (and XE9xxxseries) are really good, but very dear. This is a XE7xxx series.

The picture is only dark if eco mode is active, in my experience.

Ah very interesting. I have this TV but the 701 model, perhaps it's different, but it looks just as good as the Sony I have. Maybe I'm missing out!

701 is 7 series, so might be better than this in terms of viewing angles. But the 6 series is horrible!
