Cinema-like picture

The LG 55UM7000PLC 55" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV has an IPS 4K display so you can watch your favourite shows in vibrant details and vivid colours. Take in the beauty of nature with BBC's latest documentary series, or switch on a blockbuster, and see how even fantastical characters look clear and realistic.

4K Active HDR

The UM7000 takes HDR even further with adaptable advanced HDR which adjusts each image so you always get the best contrast and the richest colours. Even older favourites get upgraded to the HDR levels – classic dramas never looked so good.

Smart webOS

There's always something on TV with the UM70. LG's webOS is packed with apps to keep everyone happy. Catch that must-see comedy series from Channel 4, settle down for a Netflix boxset bonanza in 4K, or rent a movie from the Sky Store.

And with Freeview Play you can leap right in from the TV guide. Catch up on anything you might have missed by scrolling back through the week.

Please do, we have a few pedants on HUKD and we must take their feelings into account whenever possible. failing to do something as miniscule as starting a sentance with an uppercase letter can set them of. or mispeling a word really urks them, their quiet a delecate bunch.

Anyway to keep my reply somewhat relevant, I vote this deal hot

Waiting for a decent deal on a 55inch 4K OLED from either Samsung or LG.

Good luck getting a 55 inch Samsung OLED seeing as though they don't make them

My thoughts exactly !
I think LG make all their own tv’s even at the budget end, though I may be wrong. Assuming it’s LG made then at this price point you probably won’t find better as the likes of a panny would not be a real panny.

Aren't they an RGBW panel at this level? I hoped they would stop releasing them.

Strangly, ordered one yesterday for a family member. One of the better budget tvs. There is a Hisence too but went with this for the easy WebOS and wide angle viewing and expence of better pic in some areas.

A lot of people pretend there experts and you don't know who is who sometimes
I’ve lost faith in LG unfortunately. I mostly game and the input lag even in game mode is dire on the last 2 I’ve bought...around 60ms. Off to buy a Samsung ru7100 today with a 10ms input lag!

Hot deal though thanks for the share

Doh, bought for £399 on Black Friday! Good solid TV though, had no issues so far!
I Bought this tv and would say it's not bad, comes in 3 models on the 7 range, 7000,7100,7200. First this one has no Bluetooth. It has Apple Airplay. Picture quality is ok and the function to automatically set to each function eg set top box, or gaming is good, the stand though is not fit for purpose those two short legs should not be on a tv so big. Will say though for £369, you cant go wrong.

After looking at the specs I don't think it has hdr 10+ right? Does that make a huge difference? And what would be the best 4k tv under 500 atm? (plus or minus £50)

Under £500 then probably Hisense 55B7500 but if you want decent HDR you need to double that budget Sony 55XG9505

"Dolby Vision HDR support" but you have to check it meets your needs TV's might "accept" HDR signals but its more marketing ploy cos they cant actually display it. Most cheaper set modify it a bit to get a slightly better picture but its not real HDR hence to double your budget comment. What HDR inputs do you have? Might be better to research what is best for your needs and if you really need proper HDR and are willing to fork out the extra. I mentioned earlier about the budget LG I purchased, the user has no HDR sources but has the funds to afford a £1k TV but no point spending the extra. Horses for courses.

I might use my ps4 pro on it from time to time, also have a 4k roku streaming stick+, so I'm just looking for the best picture quality I can get for around the £500 mark
Wow!

Did exactly the same after LG and Panasonic’s doing my head in. The ru7100 input lag is soo good
If your buying a tv at this price or above you really need to do some research. Have a look online for reviews at , expertreviews, techradar, trusted reviews, etc and buy some tv review magazines at your local newsagent. I bought a Sony KDL805C some years ago and although its no match on todays tv's the picture is stunning. I read lots of reviews before I took the plunge. The Sony has 4 hdmi inputs so dont forget about connectivity as well.

Get it wrong and you will be stuck with a tv with poor colours, artefacts and limited inputs and a large hole in your pocket. I cant find a decent review of this model. Perhaps someone else can.
Great deal
Pros
Full suite of Smart TV apps with HDR support
Dynamic tone-mapping makes HDR unusually watchable at this price
Super-low input lag and ALLM support
Cons
Blacks appear greyish
Mediocre contrast
60Hz panel with no motion technology to reduce blur
RGBW subpixel structure affects image quality
LG UM7400 review: Verdict
Some impressive technologies distinguish the LG 49UM7400 from quite a few competing budget sets, in particular the dynamic tone-mapping, super-low input lag and smooth 24fps reproduction despite the 60Hz panel. It’s all impressive stuff at the price. In ultimate terms, though, it’s let down somewhat by its poor-contrast IPS LCD panel – and that means it’ll have a tough time competing against the increasingly talented budget opposition.

Does this TV get the internet channels on Freeview? It seems the LG 2019 models don't do it. :-(
Anyone know the response time for gaming? I have an old LG and the only downfall is the huge input lag rendering it useless for gaming. Wouldn't want to make the same mistake again!
would really appreciate any help and tvexpertise - Samsung UE50RU7100 or Hisense H55B7500UK, for family room movies and PS4 gaming? Thanks
