I want to watch my TV, not draw pretty pictures on it. Surely the screen would get smudged etc.

Clealy you don't have kids - it's a great added feature and compared to the pricing and spec of other similar screens, there is hardly a premium for this fetaure.
Being a PEN Touch TV there would be no need to touch the screen with your hands. Besides, a simple wipe with a dry cloth would clean the screen which I presume most people would do regularly anyway?

You assume correctly Mr Dan Unsworth - Just get them an iPad instead

Understood but you'd have to fork out an extra £400 for an iPad. If you're looking for new big screen TV, you wouldn't be paying extra to have this PenTouch feature anyway.

Call me old fashioned but I personally don't like the idea of a TV being touch enabled. Don't get me wrong, I love touch screens - I have an iPhone and iPad but I'd rather keep my TV separate from that.

Fair point fella, accept the TV aint to everyone's liking but the PenTouch feature aside, I still think it's a FANTASTIC deal for this specification TV. It's a massive screen that has everything with the PenTouch feature being an added sweetener.

I have 4 grown up kids, and I know what they are capable of. NOT voted.
