Ok quick first impressions review as i'm now onto fiddling with more settings...these are my thoughts without tweaking past the various standard setting options
bear in mind my bar for tvs is really high atm after my bad experiences with two different hisense models from AO last week i'm super picky.

1) the remote is really bad, its a bit small for the amount of functions on it .
2) set up and general functions are decent enough , although settings menu is a bit fiddly and theres a slight delay in using menus , changing channel
3) Hd tv channels through dtv are fine colors look fine
4) Tested Avengers endgame 4k final battle scene and wow it looks fantastic (i turned off the motion smoothing) , sound was ok then turned on "cinema" and it was worlds apart deeper base, crisper sound and really enjoyable sounds more like a mid range sound bar.
5) ps4 gaming is really good just with hdr setting and game mode on input lag was not even noticable if it was there
6) hdr is really good, and theres lots of presets to try out as well as advanced calibration settings. If i was being really picky the contrast is the only one id manually change due to personal choice.

Given the price I can honestly say it is worth ever single penny. If someone showed me this tv and said they'd paid 700 i wouldnt bat an eyelid. There only thing that maybe gives away its not a premium tv is the plasticy bezel and horribad remote.

Tl;DR worth every penny . For the size and picture/sound quality I doubt very much you will beat this.

Heat for opening line alone. Great deal too.
Great find

forgive my ignorance but it doesn’t say “Freeview play” so it won’t have “Freeview play” correct?

so nearly perfect for me

thx again..
Well, considering my deal for this same TV went hot in September @ £549.00, I reckon you'll get some major heat on this one, including some from me: cheers!

I've got this TV and can confirm it does have Freeview play and Freesat. Had the TV about a month biw and I'm really impressed. Great picture, great sound and is very quick when navigating between and loading apps

does it have apply TV
I almost got this but according to Argos it can't be delivered to my home...
The local store will deliver it to my local Sainsbury ( which literally would then go past my house) though because that makes sense .
Great price, but one year warranty? Sounds like they don't have faith in their product...

Best get it now then as it's cheaper
It was £499 yesterday when I was looking at it. It’s coming down a lot as it used to be over £550

I’m considering this tv and I probably would have bought it by now if it wasn’t for the fact Argos doesn’t deliver this massive TV. Doubt it would fit in my car.
And it’s limited warranty, I think 1 year only.

Wish this tv was on richer sounds... but it’s only exclusive to argos.

Would people recommend Hisense or LG?

Cracking deal for a 60 inch TV, just thought I’d help those considering buying with a which review
Edited by: "ruudvanbains" 13th Nov 2019
Which.co.uk consistently rates LG models above all others in the 43 to 65" range - probably others too, but I didn't check.

Get it, and if it goes significantly cheaper on black Friday, return it

Thx v much

I’m even more tempted now....
i've just got mine home thanks to a very nice neighbor with a large suv

will let folks know what its like when i have it set up
Watch the video on Argos website and she says this tv is exclusive to Argos is that why it’s cheap?

Nope just air play 2 and from what I’ve read that’s all it will get.

It tells you this on picture 10 on Argos page. It’s 1348mm between each foot.

Just a question for the experts on here.
I'm looking at replacing my 9 year old Sony and at present I channel all my viewing content, live/recordings, via a Youview box.
So what I want to know is will the built-in freeview (coupled with an external memory plug-in.) provide the same functionality/flexibility as I currently enjoy?

Thanks in advance.

I got the 7100 55" first that was terrible , it had really bad motion blur issues and gaming on it was impossible, called AO they said it was an issue that they were aware of with that model and offered to swap it for the h50u7buk , that was great especially the dolby atmos. unfortunately a third of the screen borked after 20 odd mins of use and was lighter than the other 2/3rds so that went back .

compared to those this new tv is amazing . We actually went tv shopping at weekend just to see what the models were like working with view to buying online when we got back and honestly this LG looks and sounds better than quite a few of the tvs that were twice as much in currys . I hate the remote though the more i use it the more im thinking of biting bullet and getting a new remote smart for it

Does the magic remote look any better? I think that's needed for the Google/Alexa stuff anyway? I'm seriously considering this TV and the remote doesn't matter to me because I use the Amazon Firestick remote 99% of the time (can't get any smaller than that, always losing the bloody thing). Thought I'd read that you can download an app to use a smart phone as the remote although could be getting that mixed up with another TV and doesn't sound very practical anyway.

you need the magic remote of a generic "works with lg tvs" remote to use the built in alexa app .
the firestick remote is great design, this one not so much its just a really nasty small cheaply made remote
Is it worthwhile getting the Argos 3 year warranty with this?
Is this RGB or RGBW?

I picked this TV up for my Mum and it was a walk through a busy shopping precinct back to the car. It was more the awkwardness of the box size, rather than its weight, and a lack of proper purchase holds that made it difficult to carry. It would be advisable to get someone to give you a hand if you could.
Bought today. Great TV for the price.

Hisense tv's r pretty decent! as for LG... I preferred him when he was in Oasis!
Coming from a Samsung 7400 50 inch I bought a few months ago. I think it will be a drop in PQ but going in for the size. I'll have to sell it in a few months too as moving abroad. But at this price it's too good to pass!

My husband picked one up last night, he went in his Skoda estate car with the seats down and it fitted in fine. He also carried it himself using the plastic straps that are on the box.
It won’t be possible to do for 10 mins, more like just in and out of the shop to the car etc
