Need to find a bigger house for this.
Need to find a decent 55" with built in freesat tuner and a centre based stand rather than feet on both edges so it fits on my TV unit and doesn't hang off the edges ideally sub £600 4k is a must though
What's best about right now ???
Problem is ignorance is bliss, please never goto oled......always just keep to the same price bracket without jumping up like I did to an £1849 55 LG oled because I can never go back to anything lesser as they all look poor and washed out in comparison, the difference is mind blowing but if you can afford to pay on an interest free plan then doing it monthly will be a sound investment! Watching TV probably comes after sleeping as the next thing most spent doing so might as well do it right or else be like sleeping on an old worn badly sprung mattress now! 😃

Don't limit yourself to the shape of the legs/base on the TV.. eg if you were to buy this just get a VESA mount that's 300x300 and you'll maybe pay around 30 quid tops for the stand. An instant search for 300x300 vesa stand shows one for £20.99 that supports this easily.

Personally I'd try and find the right TV for you however.. if you go onto the Richer Sounds website as an example and apply the filter for Freesat.. I'd recommend trying to find a 10 bit panel as the quality is a lot better and if possible find one that supports Dolby Vision.. that way you'll get the best of HDR to go with the 4K resolution. Better still if you can afford to push the boat a bit make sure it's at least 100hz screen refresh. It might not be a cheap option to have all of this however I can almost guarantee that it'll give you the best most affordable TV possible. Sorry if this is like an essay I've been through the same affordability trip and landed up with a very bad TV that was only better in resolution than my "old" TV but was nowhere near as good for anything else haha.

This one ticks most of the boxes and handles Freesat.. supports HLG and Dolby Vision and also has Dolby Atmos built in with a six year warranty.. problem is none of the better TVs ever seem to hit sale prices. £699 isn't cheap but it's an extremely good TV and supports Apple, Google and eventually Alexa.. richersounds.com/tv-…tml

You could also go for the 49 inch version which I’ve just bought as it happens! I just managed to snag it for £250 out of box from richer sounds but having to go down and get a universal stand (for free) as it was missing, it’s had a new panel recently and the smart remotes on these are a nice addition. The cheaper ones after these would be the 7400 but as the nice gent said these are a great buy....

Yeah sweet will keep an eye out on a 43" Panasonic at the moment and it's been fantastic it was £700 8 years ago but ideally would like a 55" for my son's Xbox

Looks nice doesn't seem to have freesat tuner built in though ? And I think my 9 yr old Humax freesat HDR box is on its way out so ideally want an all in one solution
Choosing a tv doesn’t get easier.
It Oleds out the price range id aim for a nanocell dolby vision 120hz (for gaming)

Search amazon for TV pedastal stand, I got one for my LG 55 inch, it only just fit on my TV stand and no room for sound bar, but with the TV pedastal, I have loads of room and the TV sits higher and swivels.
No OLED and only 3 HDMI so cold for me
