It is good picture wise and so on. Just don't like the legs lol... Had to get new TV table for it...
12 months warranty is shocking though my lg soundbar went pop at 14 months this is 400 quid down the drain if it does the same i checked to extend and argos want 6 quid a month!!! Richer sounds it is for the 55 inch for 399 6 year piece of mind
I bought this 3 weeks ago for £449 - decent tv, good picture, sound on cinema mode is great. No need for a sound bar

People complain about the remote but I’m fine with it. Has a direct button for Netflix and prime which is great.
it opens apps fast and webOs is easy interface

I have a mid end Samsung and that’s slower to open apps than this low end LG.

Only negative is the stand legs, it’s on either end of the tv, so you need a long tv table or put on the wall.
Only place I’d imagine doing a long console table is IKEA.
It’s also quite chunky, so will sit off the wall somewhat if mounted.

Please double check, as it can be LG itself, not Richer Sounds. Higher LG models coming with 5 yr warranty, while cheaper only with 1 year. 3 months ago I went for £200 more expensive model mainly for the warranty. OK, better LCD panel was important too, but would not choose it without longer warranty.

Thanks for this helpful comment. Need something this size but planning on wall mounting so will have to keep looking.

Anyone know of good thin tellys 60” or bigger. Budget of under £700
WOW this has come down in price, it's a fantastic TV at this price range but remember you get what you pay for, it's a 60hz VA direct lit panel so will have good uniformity with decent blacks and contrast, the downsides to this are it's a bit chunky. HDR is muted as it only has around 250 nits full field, build quality is so so as it is a budget tv after all. You will not find a better 60" tv for this price but saying that if you want better quality and picture and are willing to drop screen size for the same price take a look at the Philip's 7300 range.

Got this last Saturday for £499. The WebOS is great, fast with a lot features, apps and frequent updates. You should update it to get Apple Airplay 2 features for screen mirroring as its out of the box software is not up-to-date and lacks this feature. Screen mirroring works better than my Apple TV 3rd gen.

Be aware that it is huge, I partially regretted not getting a slightly smaller one. Not very easy to get it out of the box if you are on your own.

I’ll keep an eye on price if it gets even cheaper I wouldn’t mind bringing it back to Argos only to buy it again.

Feel free to ask me any questions you may have.

You can buy desktop stand mounts for about £30 on amazon, might be a solution.
The only real option for a 60 inch TV but there are also alternative 58 inch TVs available, namely the Samsung RU7100 and the two Panasonics the GX700 and GX800.

Pretty sure all three use the same Innolux VA panel. Of the three the GX800 is the best but most expensive. Contrast on this panel is good but viewing angles less so.

The LG uses a Sharp VA, contrast is not as good and viewing angle is similar to the Innolux sets.

The LG has the best software, Samsung in the middle and Panasonic the worst. The Panny sets have the thinnest bezels but the legs on the GX700 look a bit odd IMO. The LG is the chunkiest and uses the most power.

Edit: I forgot, there's also a couple of Philips 58 inch TVs but the Philips software is not good so can't really recommend them.

So what would be the panel to get don't know much about VA 60hz etc looking for 60" ideally what should I look out for spec wise

It certainly has a freesat tuner. You need a satellite dish installed and cabled to tv.

Brilliant tv for under £430 (it's a but chunky) that is the only minus, I was a bit worried about picture quality, but was pleasantly surprised, you'd struggle getting a better tv, this size for this value, I would highly recommend this tv.
