Didn't even know 60 inch TVs got this low in price.

Hot over a grand at currys

I am watching the 50" version of this now and love it. Only paid £449 but would have gone for the 60" if my room was big enough.

Hook it up to a Betamax player and you're future-proof.

I bought my LG 3D tv from PRC Direct and was very pleased with them. Got the 4 pairs of 3D glasses included though! Hot!

Only if Betamax ones - trying for a 5 year guarantee should be fun as the technology will not exist if you need a new part in 3 years

Certainly isn't - the shops will be trying to rid themselves of these faster than.....well, can't think. It is a discontinued line of thought just as Betamax was......possibly better, but just gone tech.

Anyone know the diff between this and the currys Black Friday lg60pb660v. Same price

Thanks

Another 20 for delivery.

Same price at curry's PC world, I was looking at this yesterday, looks a bit cheap and the stand was wobbly.

Plus not very well set up, so not sure i could comment on the picture quality

Doesn't really matter. If the spare parts aren't about they'll have to either refund or replace it with something equivalent. They can't just go "sorry, we didn't stock enough spare parts, no warranty for you!"

nice tv, works as a heater in winter

While your point has some validity, who actually doesn't refresh their technology on a 3 year cycle anyway? I cannot remember ever keeping the same main TV for 3 years or more.

This TV is using a proven technology and is at a very reasonable price. It looks like a great deal to me.

Just Wondering

No you're right - Currys/RGBdirect will happily give you £50 off the RRP of a new tech telly which will be only about £50 higher than the effective price elsewhere

Are you implying that Plasma TVs aren't compatible with current A/V players? Oh dear, you don’t seem compatible with reality.

True for many things these days and doesn’t affect the warranty as you will get a replacement product or partial refund depending on warranty terms.
Can I have the next idiot please.

No - I was implying that Plasmas are an abandoned technology, much in the same way that the Betamax technology (arguably better than VHS when they were competing) was abandoned. A technology they will not be restocking parts for.

don't feed the troll ......

well if you get real lucky when it blows in 4 years time the warrenty will enable you to buy something close to the picture quality of this(hopefully oled) rather than the nasty looking lcd panels they make so much profit on,
btw, remember betamax did not lose out on quality, just politics.

You have never owned a Plasma tv have you?

Absolute bargain. Plasma TVs are being phased out but still have superior picture quality.

If you want a TV with an over bright over saturated picture with lots of DSE you need to avoid buying this tv and go look for an inferior LED backlit lcd tv.
