This model is an oddball hybrid released in 2022 limited to only a few territories (UK was one).

It runs with the C1 panel and casing, but the improved C2 processor.

I think it was the case that LG Displays had too many of the old C1 panels after the C2 release, so created this odd Frankenstein's monster (not a bad monster)

If the G2 can be had for similar (or slightly more), I'd advise go for that rather than this one. (edited)

..So no 5yr warranty on this one, it being below £1000

    I own this.

TLDR - It is an LG C1.5. A hybrid of LG C1 and C2 (non EVO panel). Only thing i can say its the same as new stuff except DTS pass thru, no heatsink and slightly dimmer screen (by how much is subjective lol). (edited)

That’s tempting, my LG NanoLED is a couple years old now. Is this a good OLED?
    Crossbow's avatar
Not one of their premium offerings, but still very capable...

    - hotukdeals.com/com…237
TCB too topcashback.co.uk/argos/ which stacks with their current offer hotukdeals.com/dea…025 - needs to be activated & used today.

Btw, I have one of the earliest OLEDs (an LG 55") from way back in 2015 & it still stacks up well PQ-wise compared to more modern ones. The only thing that may tempt me to go for a newer model in the next few years is a larger screen (65" will do me) for an unmissable price. (edited)

Just to give you an idea, the c and g series weigh 20kgs LESS than the CS range...... and have better panels.....but the do cost about £200+ more, just to give you an idea of this tech
    Crossbow's avatar
Around 2-8kgs lower you mean? Weights of each w/o stand...
    - CS 65" 24kgs
    - C3 65" 16.6kgs
    - G2 65" 22.8Kgs (edited)

In an average tv user and went from LED to Oled for the last year and it's amazing , everything. Is just clearer , you're eyes get used to it and the wow sometimes goes down but then watching a good 4k film makes the wow come back again
    Masteryates's avatar
Exactly Torro. Even though back in 2016 my Oled was a grand more than the equivalent LCD, I'd have no problem paying an extra pound per day for the extra picture quality. As mine is now 7 years old, it feels like a bargain for the money I paid.

This is the best price available now for a 65 inch.

But the better G2 model was this price on the LG website last month.

I'd say go for this as no idea if G2 will go that low again. It's currently about £100 more on LG site wity deal stacking.

There have been quite a few over the last 1-2 years tbf hotukdeals.com/sea…000 - some 55" ones included as the search is not perfect.
    As low as £823 for a 65" B3 (2023 model) only a few weeks ago hotukdeals.com/dea…441

Too big for me but hot and bargain imo

The obvious solution here is 'you're gonna need a bigger house'

really trying not to replace my 75" nano, but the 77" C3 for under £2k is tempting...

Question for the TV experts in this thread:

What's the best option for a 65 inch TV where the only thing I'm interested in is picture quality for movies and live sports?

(don't really watch anything else and already have a 5.1 sound system so built-in sound is unimportant).

The only other requirement is that it needs to go on a stand and won't be wall mounted.

Price is less important than getting the best picture quality possible.

Good price. Went for C3 in the end from JL for £1200 inc £25 tv disposal and 5 year warranty (Partner discount + LGTV15) After my 75inch Samsung died within 3 years and was told basically tough - I wasn’t gonna buy Samsung again.
    dinoric's avatar
Was that the 65 inch C3?
