I never thought id say it but The days of Samsung & Sony are gone
Fair play to LG
Anybody seen these in the flesh?
Worth every penny in my opinion. Every time I'm in Currys i always find myself drooling over the LG OLED section, they're the future just like LED backlit TV's were in 2008/9.
same as jl price
13% Quidco as well by the look of things
Amazing colours and best black levels. But 1 big problem is the motion judder. I don't know if the fixed it with a firmware yet or will be able to. It's the only thing that let's it down. The next gen will definitely be amazing. It depends on how's your eyes are, some people see the motion issue instantly were others won't. My advice is to test different content before buying to be sure. Apart from that amazing set.
Iv saw this in the flesh and it is mouth watering - simply
And next gen's aren't always better sometimes company's go backwards but I get where ur coming from
Lg just invested billions in oled technology so will be interesting to see what they do next. I love their Web os and magic remote.

Well before LG it was Panasonic Plasmas, and before that Pioneer. Samsung has had a year or two, don't think Sony TVs were ever considered to be top level, and I don't think Sony or Samsung ever received a 'Reference' level TV.
Yeh bit samsung & Sony dominate 90% of the tv market
can gift cards be used with cashback i see 7% off the price of egift cards i can get the 55" set for £2092 using the code LSTV10A and my 7% off vouchers. Eden red is the supplier for the cards.

I see our Asian friends are still drip feeding us Brits with their tech
I remember years back empire direct stock holding 1,00 rear projections, then comet dropped a plasma below 1k
Sony do NOT have their share of the TV market, thier web browser failure put paid to that ,. that's their own fault using
that same browser engine they flung in the ps3
I will not be buying an oled until the are mass produced and are valued at their worth

This is a 4K UHD TV
10x the price I just paid for my 43" LG telly (admittedly dumb TV and not 4k, but still) oO

That's plagued LG for years it's an issue on all their TVs. They have poor picture engine and motion issues.

I agree with mass production of oleds, I wouldn't be investing in a 1st gen with their white sub-pixel technology.
