Active HDR
HDR deepens your view and shows shades previously unseen in home entertainment. Expanding light, dark and every colour in between to extraordinary new levels, this model’s picture gets closer to real life. With active HDR, this set supports multiple HDR formats, adapting scene-by-scene for pinpoint image mastering.

Advanced Colour Enhancer: dynamic image processing enhances colour, contrast and clarity for superior picture quality, whatever you’re watching.

Quad Core Processor: four cores of power deliver advanced picture processing for consistently bright, sharp imagery.

Wide Viewing Angle: LG’s IPS 4K display ensures a clear 4K picture is viewable from any angle without distortion.

Advanced Voice Control
This Thinq AI TV has Google Assistant Built-In so you can get answers to questions while you’re watching TV. You can also control compatible smart devices, and check your Google photos or Google Calendar on the TV screen (Google sign-in required). Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant, plus Apple Airplay 2 and Homekit compatibility will also be added by a forthcoming firmware update.

Freeview Play
This LG TV features Freeview Play. Combining catch-up TV, on-demand services and live television, watching what you want, when you want, is now easier than ever. It’s free from subscription and is compatible with existing broadband services too. Services such as BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4 and My5 are also available without having to open specific applications. This gives effortless scroll back so you never miss a second of your favourite shows.

Elegant Design

Finished with the sweeping elegance of a crescent stand, the minimal bezel frame enhances the viewing experience and completes a contemporary look.

Perfect partners
With TVs getting slimmer and built-in speakers getting smaller, choosing the right sound system is more important than ever. Soundbars enhance your TV’s sound quality and add that extra audio punch to all your movies, games and TV programmes. More affordable and easier to set up than a full size speaker system, they don’t compromise on quality either.
Take a look at our full range of soundbars.

Don’t forget...
If you want to connect your TV to a blu-ray player, games console, soundbar or soundbase then you’ll need a HDMI cable.

Me because it's an LG LCD and I've not see any of them doing that well. There also appears to be no reviews. I assume it's edge lit and nothing special.

Well done for owning up.

As for your reasoning exactly what are you comparing this too out of interest?

Don’t know about the ‘ edge lit nothing special ‘ part myself so can’t answer your concerns on that.

It’s brand new hence no reviews - but that’s not a reason to vote cold imo.
Rtings seem to rate most UM LG TVs quite well. Better viewing angles than Samsung's due to IPS and excellent webOS. I need a new TV so might check it out in Curry's.

Personally I'd want a VA panel over IPS, but both have plus points.

Nope I think they meant you could get a NanoCell TV for the same price, I suppose it’s cheap for a 65 but expensive compared to other cheap 65” TVs, and I’m not sure it’s worth spending 900 on a standard UHD set when OLED’s are coming down in price. The difference in picture quality is night & day. Possibly go for a 55” OLED instead..for £100 or so more
