Seems a good price for a 70inch telly, looking at the specs it supports HDR10 and HLG, probably 8bit panel at this price. Quidco cashback ends tomorrow plus Nectar points too.

Also at same price and in stock for home delivery on the Currys website too with £50 cashback from Quidco on TV's over £1k.

I paid similar for a 4k projector. It's not set up correctly just now but you get the picture. It's only 30 inch more but if you are looking for the wow factor I highly recommend it.

A lot of money but very good for the size most seem to be around £1800 for 70 or more inch.

10bit HDR?

Looks like 8bit frc according to the website.

Damn i have no change

I think I'd rather save £300 more and get a smaller OLED screen

Just done a quick search and can't find much under £2K - have you got a link?

10bit HDR?

There's no other sort.

Don't expect much in the way of HDR display ability. I think it's slightly wide gamut but the local dimming systems on LG's UJ models are abysmal.

If you want to buy into HDR at this point you'd be mad not to spend the extra £400-500 on an XE90.

There's a huge difference between 70" and 100". Which model did you buy?

Im looking for a HDR tv tbh for around £1200 65 inch+. The xe90 is appealing but paying £1600 for 65inch id rather pay slightly more and get a OLED? Im in this loop of looking at a tv for 1k then thinking if i pay £100 more id get a better one and then after researching somehow manage to look at a tv way over my budget. Any help on what tv to get at a good price??

Check Sony Centredirect refurbs, saw 49xe8077 for just 399 earlier on, officially refurbished but still risks.

Look up Optoma UHD550X

The price drops all the time all over the internet. I got mine for £1400.

Although I would say. I had the Acer predator z650 before this one and it's an amazing projector for the price.

HDR's an expensive technology right now. It'll come down in price if you're willing to wait a couple of years but but the best value TVs at 65" for HDR are the XE90 and XE93, maybe the OLEDs on offer if you're watching in a darker room.

There are plenty of good general TVs for less money and many of them will even get some benefit from HDR. If you're main criteria is HDR ability though you lose more than you save.

I've got this, bought it black Friday. The room it's in isn't in use yet (no rads/burner installed yet) but have had a couple of motd sessions in there with me woolly hat on!! Watch a lot of footy and was worried about refresh rate and how it would affect seeing the ball on screen, but it's fine. It's actually OK watching SD too when I've tested, but watching HD is great and I've so far I've only watched the iplayer beta 4k demo, but that looks amazing. I researched for ages for a 65 and was going to plump for a Sony xe90, but then this came up and I was swayed by the extra inches (compensation see ). I know it's not the specs of the Sony but my non-expert eyes can't spot any deficiencies! A lot of TV for the money.... People think I've spent thousands for that size!
