Yep, pay the extra 40 quid for the warranty or just call them, they may just match this price!

have you got the link for richersounds? as the one i was looking at on that site(lg75uk6200plb) isnt the same as this one
how is this compared to the Philps 7304/12 via costco posted earlier? any one with experience would be appreciated.
Just imagine how awful a low bitrate channel like ITV4 will look at 75". When testing TV's many look at things like 4K and HDR. Personally, I also like to see how TV's cope with low quality content. Many a top of the range Samsung and Sony LCD's have failed here.
Only 1 year warranty! Ritcher sounds 29 quid more and 6 yes warranty
Bad TV wouldn't recommend

Contrast ratio very low, only 1100:1. And not very bright. For same price Philips is only 5 inch smaller and way better

The 7304 is better. It's more of s midrange TV with its powerful P5 processor.
This is a decent TV but budget end.
Don't think the 70" 7304 deal is available anymore

Please elaborate

Really low contrast ratio only 1100:1 compared to e.g. Samsung RU7020 having 5800:1 , the TV is quite dim in terms of nits too. Quality really isn't up to scratch. Annoying cursor remote, 1 year warranty compared to Even the other one on ritcher sounds which is almost the same TV with exception of few smart features that has 6 years.

Save 100 quid and go for the Philips 70 inch posted earlier, way better at the cost of next to nothing in inches. You'll enjoy the extra quality way more than the few extra inches

If you want Richer Sounds longer warranty, then get them to price match it and save yourself 50 quid...

Hey pal,
So I went to the stores today and did some research. Unfortunately I have to reced my previous statement. The LG looked best of the bunch. With deeper colours, apparently contrast only affects dark rooms so in well lit rooms it should be good.

The Philips TV whilst good on Paper looks terrible in person, even the sales man couldn't recommend it to me at richer sounds. Apparently Philips shine in dark rooms only

I have purchased the LG, using Quidco cash back it will cost £715. Very hot price

They don't price match if they competitor isn't offering at least a 5 year warranty, never have.

How are you finding the LG torn between this and the Samsung or Philips all at 899.00

So I'd rule out Phillips straight away, its really not up to scratch, I viewed the display model at Ritcher Sounds.
Now both LG and Samsung are good TVs. But LG is better in bright rooms, where the Samsung model shines in dark environments. You can just pop in store and have a look. They might not have the exact models, but the Samsung low 7000s are all same barr some smart features. Same with LG's UM7000s.
Thanks for this

Low bitrate look bad unless I use a custom set of configurations found on rtings UM7300 review. Then the Lowbit looks nice, HDR and 4K content looks amazing, vastly superior to the LED we bought in 2016

Yes I've found the best way to get low bitrate looking good involves a reference plasma next to the new TV and a few hours of fiddling. Can get to about 85% of the plasma quality but never above.

Don't know why you'd go to that extreme, can easily just use a recommended set from rtings.com or other places to look decent. Going to them extremes is a bit of a joke, and it definitely looks better than any plasma I've owned even on lowbit personally. Besides most the content nowadays is on streaming platforms with good high quality shows. If it bothers you that much that you'd spend hours, perhaps buy a higher spec TV. General public will be more than happy with this
Wouldn’t listen to any negativity on this tbh. I was told the same rubbish with my 65 inch version of this and it still blows me away a year later.
