Enjoy the thrill of a big screen – from a top brand, with the LG 75UM7000PLA.

Super-size movie night.
Your favourite movies look better on the big screen which is why, when it comes to TVs, bigger is always better. For the price of a typical 65 inch TV, the LG 75UM7000PLA upgrades you to a mighty75 inch screen for a cinematic viewing experience. Thanks to LG’s picture expertise, the 4K Active HDR equipped 75UM7000PLA doesn’t compromise on clarity, either. For the ultimate in immersive vision, nothing comes close in its class.

Get the very best picture with 4K Active HDR
Every scene is optimised with 4K Active HDR. This means stunning detail and contrast with each and every scene. The LG includes multi-HDR format support, including HDR10 and HLG. HDR10 is widely used on UHD gaming consoles from Sony and Microsoft. HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma HDR) is a broadcast and user generated standard format that is set to become the standard for transmitting 4K signals.

Power at its core - Quad Core processor
At the heart of this LG is a powerful and precise quad core processor that makes the most of UHD 4K signals. Reducing noise and pushing the colour contrast, the processor makes UHD 4K even better. Thanks to LG's 4K Resolution Upscaler, even standard FHD signals can be upscaled to near 4K clarity and detail - giving your Blu-rays a new lease of life.

Now featuring Apple AirPlay 2 and Apple TV app
With support for Apple AirPlay 2, this LG 75 inch TV lets you effortlessly stream from your Apple device. Even better, support for Apple’s TV app (Due 2020) means you can enjoy Apple’s 4K HDR content – featuring top quality Dolby Atmos and Vision. Support for Apple’s HomeKit makes this LG highly compatible with the whole Apple system.

webOS - the critics' choice
Widely acclaimed as one of the best smart TV interfaces, LG's latest webOS operating system is more refined than ever. WebOS uses superimposed icons, folders and side bars for clear and easy access to smart content without leaving the current screen image.

All your favourite apps
The LG 75UM7000PLA comes packed with useful apps that look great on the big screen. Netflix 4K is covered. There’s also Amazon with UHD HDR and YouTube in 4K. The main channels are all covered, plus there’s access to Now TV and the Sky Store. You also get easy access to music sites like Spotify and Napster plus social sites Facebook and Twitter.

Smart speaker compatible for enhanced control
Compatible with a wide range of Smart speakers, the 75UM7000PLA fits right into your Smart home control system. Use with the Apple HomePod, Amazon Echo or Google Home speakers and enjoy voice operation to adjust the volume, change the channel and access a range of other options – dependent upon speaker system.

Freeview Play makes catch-up TV easy
Find programmes from BBC iPlayer, the ITV Hub, All4 and Demand 5 sitting alongside over 60TV Channels and up to 15 HD channels. Simply scroll back in your TV guide to watch shows you missed from the last 7 days. Just make sure your TV is connected to the Internet and you're good to go.

Before purchasing any TV I have to carry out an exhaustive investigation into how black the blacks are and how white the whites are. This usually takes so long that another 15 TV's now become available in my budget so the whole lengthy process starts again. Luckily I still have my 14 inch Matsui going strong so I can take my time making such a life changing decision of which TV to buy.

When you can pay £2000 for a 65” and £1500 for a 55”, it makes me wonder what the quality of the picture of this will be for £800
Depends on your expectations, if your alternative was a projector this will do a better job but if your expecting inky blacks like an OLED then no...

LGs entry level TV, can't even find a good review on it.

I imagine it will be similar to the UM7300 (USA Model) but with 10W speakers and no Bluetooth audio - rtings.com/tv/…300
My siter has this TV, we are pretty happy with the picture. However, I prefer the 65" oled I have though 😁.. very good price nevertheless with 6 year warranty from Richer Sounds

in the market for a 75" but not sure to go for one this cheap.
Not OLED. I'll wait for OLED prices to come down.

rtings.com? PLEEEASE!!!!
The funny thing is everyone quotes reviews by rting.com, techradar and cnet without realising that most tech review sites run a cash for positive review arrangement with the OEMs and retailers. Some like cnet have been known to run a mafia extortionist structure where they initially post a negative review about a product, OEM pays up then negative review is upreved to a positive one!

I expect being Edge lit it be painful to watch in most situations on such a large screen.
I'd rather have a 55 full array for similar price
One of the best tv’/ around imo
I've got one of these in my caravan. It's ok but not a patch on the OLED in the house
Ive got 4 arranged 2x2. I now own a 13foot 8K tele, for £3200.
Have stuck it in

Shows how much you know.

They buy every TV they review.

So what if they make money off affiliate links.

Guess what hot UK deals make money off affiliate links too.

And people have said if a site doesn't offer them a cut those deals get deleted.

So maybe you should stop using this site if you are so upset
I’ve just helped someone install one of these. I have to say it’s an impressive image even compared to my recent OLED LG E9. Compared to my other LG LED tv the back lighting was not noticeable at all. You probably want to budget for a magic remote at some stage.

yeah these 'cheap' edge lit TVs aren't that bad. Sure compared to a OLED or something yeah the OLED is better, but a OLED of this size is about £6000! It bloody should be! These TVS are absolutely fine for 99% of people. They really are.

It's not edge lit, it's direct lit like most of LG's cheaper sets, that's why they're quite fat compared to the Samsung equivalent.

The bezels are wider than on the Samsung budget TVs too.
Edited by: "Cremoso99" 30th Jan
The LG smart tvs are a lot smarter than most. I have a new 49" set and along with the best operating system(using the magic remote) LG provide 200+ extra CHANNELS not available elsewhere. You will not regret an LG unless it is faulty and I would recommend the Magic remote(Available on eBay;)
