I've just signed up for this contract myself. Like the title says you get:

LG Arena
600 xnet minutes
3000 texts

For £25 a month on 18 month contract.

I have been on the O2 Simplicity £20 with the same free minutes so for £5 more, this was a great deal for me, so hopefully will be for someone else.

This isn't part of the Easter deals they are doing.

Oh and you can get £30 quidco, which has tracked already for me, I only bought it this morning.

I just bought the same phone on T-mobile combi 15 with web & walk for £20 a month from Beepy for 18 months. I know the minutes are only 100 with 100 texts but the unlimited data suits me better. I'm not a heavy phone user. the deal from beepy also comes with £40 cashback that has also tracked no probs.

Can't wait for it to turn up now!! Heat added.

I think iniskeen has a point. Most would want a Data Tariff with this phone but hey, it's horses for courses as they say!

I agree too, I'm adding the orange web add-on, which is £5 extra a month.

is not the processor in LG arena was slow which affects shutter speed when you use its camera.
Liked the deal though heat added.

surely the samsung tocco ultra is a better deal on vodafone anytime, same minutes texts and price, but a better phone.

WVGA screen

the arena is a better phone, it sports alot more features. the only let down is the camera.

Sorry couldnt find it on phones4u so just looked on the vodafone website where it is on the 24month, I stand corrected.

I'm not sure about this arena, very excited to begin with but that 3d menu is a novelty that will wear thin quick. great resolution screen but would benefit being a bit larger as the iphone, esp. if your gonna watch movies.
software addons are sorely lacking and im keen on gps yet this o/s is limited to googlemaps at the moment. and 3rd parties are more likely be slow flash based programs as in cheeper phones. I think the phone is supposed to have good touch feedback. This is not stated as a smart phone, so don't expect the flexibility of an old fashioned microsft mobile o/s.

p.s. as stated above buymobilephones.net came with the best deal but if your looking for something specifically you can search here.

both reliant on cashback... great if you can commit the claims process

Mobiles2yourdoor have this phone as "coming soon". When was / is it released? Might hold off until they decide on their incentive. I have an XDA Orbit. I have watched some videos on the LG Arena and think it's a good starter phone for this type of technology. Anyone know how it compares to my XDA Orbit?

I agree. Certainly something that is off putting. I know it is challenging to please every customer BUT you get the feeling Orange just don't make an effort.

Remember 2 for 1 cinema tickets!

On the other hand I've only ever had excellent customer service from Orange. People in the shops aren't much help but the people I've spoken to on the phone have been polite and helpful, and as a bonus, all the departments that matter seem to be UK based.

Good phone as well

"It is not possible to port a T Mobile contract mobile number to another T Mobile contract!"

Uhhh...

excellent. Have been looking at the LG Arena since it came out last month. Can now get it on contract free for less than £30 - ordered there now.

Was on O2 for years but they always add in the VAT and the price is on your bill is always a shock - this deal of 600mins and 3000 texts is great value for money at £25 a month (and from looking on orange site that includes VAT) - as someone stated earlier O2 simplicity is only a fiver cheaper but you need your own mobile for that - so brand new mobile, great contract and good value for money (you'd think I was working for phones4u - ha ha)

just see how long it takes to deliver now - oh can't wait

good deal but personaly i would stay away from orange i have had so many problems with getting things sorted via customer service NIGHTMARE

I've never had any problems with orange and been with them for years. Though I've rarely delt with the customer services. Another question about the camera, I'm sure I heard it was 8 megapixels. According to the website its only 5 megapixels.

Is this not on Pay As You Go?

can u rely on cash back deals with these companies

Is that beepy site legit?

Cheap iphone clone

Out of curiosity what do people call up customer service for? so frequently that it makes for the decision of choosing a phone company over another. I've been with every mobile UK network and Customer service has been exactly the same.

Granted customer service is typically where customers make enquiries or complaints but the stories we hear about concern how they go about resolving complaints. Some resolve complaints better than others in terms of speed and the quality of advice where others care but do not put the customer at the heart of the problem.

Is this phone better then the nokia 5800?

I was looking directly at vodafone, £25 a month for 600 mins and unlimited texts, same as this deal.

But Quidco is more, £90 here, which means you effectvely are paying £20 per month for 18 months.

I looked at the Nokia 5800, but didn't like the rim around the screen, it protrudes by a couple of mm and I didn't like the look. Functionally, it seemed just what I wanted, but so did the Arena.

Why is it when someone praises Orange customer services - they are invariably a new or low post number member?

Orange told me my phone not working was a feature of the phone.

Orange told me it was not their problem - but was the manufacturers problem.

Orange after looking at the webpage for trading standards and telling me their training lied about who was responsible said they would get a manager to call me back - LOADS OF TIMES - still waiting.

Orange often say they will call back when they cannot resolve something - but never do - it just means - GO AWAY.

Orange claim your phone has no warranty from they unless you pay for their insuance.

Orange claimed a phone that added the wrong names to arriving texts was not a reason to replace the phone.

Orange claimed as the inclusive internet on my phone package was free - when the phone could not actually access the net - i wasn not entiteled to a reduction in my bill - as with the service being free I never paid for it.

I have my Arena now and love it! I have spoken with customer services twice now and they have been great, no issues. I asked to add the internet add-on and they gave me it free because I was on the Dolphon 35 for 18 months, so I'm very pleased.

The graphics are a novelty obviously, but I wanted the phone for the functionality. The wi-fi connectivity in particular is very useful and I've easily been able to set the phone up with my Gmail.

Just waiting for my number to port, then I'm all set.

have to pay for the phone now!
