It don't matter, there is a firmaware update for this so it will update to 2.0.

Any Divx/mkv support?

From reviews it does NTFC and FAT32 and will support MKV and M2TS.

Divx, but will not support MKV from what i've read.

251 available BTW so likely to be a clearance line and not refurb

So won't support MKV, but if you remux to MP4 may be able to.

On the contrary, PS3 sales are at the highest they've ever been.
Not biased, just don't like people spouting nonsense.

It will support mkv, not straight out hte box but if you update the firmware then it will.

If you have a PS3 already then just stick with that.

care to point me to a PS3 for £49.97

It's actually a good thing that this is profile 1 - this means the firmware is version 7.x which is the multi region hackable version!

With the right CD, you can play region A, B and C bluray on this!

This is the closest I could find:

'This unit memorizes last scene from the last disc that is viewed...The last scene remains in memory even if you remove the disc from the unit or switch off the unit...If you load a disc that has the scene memorized, the scene is automatically recalled...... Settings are stored in memory for use any time...Last Scene Memory function for a previous disc is erased once a different disc is played...This function may not work depending on the disc...'

There isnt one. I fail to see you're point.

The guy has a PS3 he asked if this was better, I told him it wasn't so I'm sure you'll agree there is no point in buying one.

Moral of the story is that I'm right and you are clueless.

You are a star, thanx

Good deal, just ordered, and looking at it appears to be run by dixons.co.uk

great reviews on argos here argos.co.uk/sta…htm
just ordered one and flying off ebay so be quick can also get quidco through ebay too!heat added thanks op for heads up been after one for a while.

I have bought from this seller before, It was a cheap blu ray player, It came 2 week later with the wrong remote, Had to wait another week for that. It was very slow at loading discs, This looks to be better reviews though.

eBay feedback tooks worrying..........

Hi all,

I bought one of these a couple of weeks ago from another post I read on here from Currys in Merry Hill.
The one I bought didn't play Blu Rays (think the laser was broke) as it played dvds.
Quality seemed a bit pants to be honest - I took it back for a refund.
It did seem to have mixed reviews on some sites, but the first site I looked at a lot of people were commenting about the poor quality and them breaking VERY quickly.

Personally I would choose another brand/model if you looking for a blu ray player.

One of the most advantages of owning a stand alone bluray unit like this is the ability to get true dts hd audio from the bluray discs the slim ps3 does this but the fat version dont

Plays everything I've thrown at it perfectly! DVD, M2TS, MKV, AVCHD, BD-R, Blu-ray all with varying resolutions and encodings and they all work. After having tested other blu-ray players and media players this is the only one that played them all perfectly. Many players can't even automatically change the refresh rate to 60i, 50i and 24hz but this player does it fine!

plays back from ntfs drives too

taken from review on amazon hot deal

so tempted to buy this for when i finally buy a HD TV when i move house in october.... hmmmm to buy or to wait again ugh such a hard decision!.

I'm tempted but not sure it can be upgraded to (full?) profile 2 as people are saying as from LG website it says it doesn't have an ethernet port. I thought profile 2 required an ethernet port?

Hi guys

Not really into the Blu-Ray scene as of yet but was thinking of replacing our DVD player as it's been a bit grumpy recently. I know I can play DVD on this - will it upscale as I have a Panny 37" Plasma.
