Well for the uninitiated ... I have absolutely no idea what he is referring to ... and why vote cold just for a reason .... known only to a few with a criptic post???

Good Bluray got one of these about 9 months ago same sort of price. Shame only You Tube on line but that is because of the uk film industry restrictions You can get movie downloads in the US

Can anyone tell me why this is voted COLD?

For the record it was light hearted banter, and i did nt vote either way as this is a good price for a decent player, but not great

I own a LG BD390 and Friend owns a BD570 (both wifi enabled) this machine isn't but can be hooked up via ethernet lead, hence the big price difference but for the amount of times I have used wifi I would now snap this model up for the price under £100

It is a good media player and standalone bluray player, for under a £100 you get very good upscaling, dts re-encoding over optical lead if you have an old legacy amp and NTFS playback plus a standalone bluray/dvd player.

They play MKV files from NTFS formatted USB drives (inside the mkv container these codecs play every time x264, h264 with a profile 4.1 and dts 5.1) most file types are in this format anyway and anything up to12gb file size I have played flawlessly, also bigger AVC file. The quality of playback is very good on my Sony 40 lcd tv..

It is a shame as always people voting cold on a player they have never seen in action and seeing what it can play compared to other competitors on the market

That clears that up then :whistling:

this is a great player...there are other threads on LG BD390 (posted few months back) which will explain why 570 is good. I have been waiting for this and wanted to play movies from my hdd as well as the positive review of LG bluray players quality...thanks for posting it !

PS: Forget about the cold voters they haven't got a clue of what we have here...ignorance brings arrogance :whistling:

Great price!

i THINK its the 1st NTFS compatible bluray player i've seen under £100
