Been looking for a Blu-ray player for under £100 that could play online video's and had built in wifi**. Was looking at Samsung BD players but most of them you need to buy an adepter to use wifi that cost half the price of the player.

After many hours of research this seems to be the best player for the price.

This is also sold at Play.com for around the same money.

I can't find a cheaper player that does 3D, Internet TV, Dolby Digital Plus/TrueHD 7.1 and has Wifi built into it for cheaper.

** Mod edit: I have questioned the "built in wi-fi" as there seems to be some confusion as to if this model has it. Buyers should confirm before ordering if this is a "must have"

Paid £5 less than this for it at Christmas when I bought for a pressie... so I would expect it to be less than this now to be a bargain.

Its £69.97 at currys but they are all sold out at the stores near me. currys.co.uk/gbu…tml

You got a good deal to get it for £74.99 when you did. They where £149 around xmas time. Only a few weeks ago they where selling for £99.

I think this is a hot deal because you are not going to find another Blu-ray player that has these features for the price.

If you can find one that does 3D, Internet TV, Dolby Digital Plus/TrueHD 7.1 and has Wifi built into it for cheaper, hats off to you. But I couldn't.

wow - thanks for that. I reserved one at currys but amazon and richer sounds both said it didnt have wifi so i wasn't sure how much of a deal it was.

looks like it will be a deal - now i will have to start buying blu-ray and dump all my hd -dvd!

That is not the correct link. LG have a habit of using the same model number in different countries but for machines with very different capabilities. This is the correct link to the UK site

UK LG site

After reading the reviews it seems like its the LG site that is wrong. This doesn't seem to have wifi built into it.

so no wifi then - or as the other link says wifi capable (I am guessing with an additional cost dongle)
according to amazon 'Simply plug in an Ethernet cable from your broadband router to the back of the TV or plug in an LG Wi-Fi USB dongle for wireless access' so no onboard wifi without buying a dongle. still a cheap 3d player
only £74.99 at sainsburys with click and collect
I've got this model. Definitely no wifi. Not sure if you would want to use a dongle as there is only one usb socket and it's on the front of the player

what is your opinion of the device? is it good for playing back blu ray and 3d ones?

Want to experience spectacular full HD 1080P? How about a Smart 3D Blu-ray player with built-in Wi-Fi that lets you enjoy the best of the web? Prefer to keep it simple? LG has Blu-ray and DVD players for you with a range of features that fit your lifestyle.

So if this has not wi-fi, that's very confusing.

Not really confusing. The section at he bottom refers to their range of DVD and Blu Ray players, not this one in particular. it also contains a link to a series of players, somne of which are genuinely Wi-Fi enabled.

Yes it's fine on all counts. No problems at all. I got mine free as part of a 3D tv package so I didn't actually choose it but I would recommend it as long as you don't need wifi.

maybe it will be cheaper X)
