This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

I’ve seen it at this price a few times recently. I wonder if it will drop lower closer to Easter.

Dolby Vision HDR

The only HDR format applied with the human eye, Dolby Vision HDR uses dynamic metadata to provide frame-by-frame analysis of the content to ensure the best picture quality is shown on screen throughout. The LG OLED55C9 OLED supports Dolby Vision HDR, Apple and Netflix have committed to providing much of their 4K content in Dolby Vision HDR so any new TV really does need to support this format!

Alpha 9 Gen 2

The Alpha 9 Gen 2 is faster and better than last year with more picture processing features to optimize any picture source. LG has included a technology called "Deep Learning" which allows the Alpha 9 Gen 2 processor to intuitively recognize picture quality. This level of picture understanding allows the processor to compare the source to what it knows the image should look like and which processes it needs to run to make the picture better. This is different from last year which treated every image exactly the same. Even better, the Alpha 9 Gen 2 can also do this with sound, making for a much more immersive listening experience as well!

Perfect Viewing Angle

The LG OLED55C9 television lets enjoy the widest viewing angles with no loss of contrast or distortion of colour, OLED TV will give you Perfect Viewing from wherever you are viewing the TV (up to 178 degrees) to give you the best experience at all times. If you click on the video link you will see LG’s immersive OLED waterfall at 2019 CES show in Las Vegas, the display is curved and no matter where you view the display from you get the perfect viewing experience.

WebOS Gallery

The OLED55C9 has a gallery app in WebOS means your TV is still the centrepiece of your room – even when you aren’t watching TV!

Chose from your own photos, or use the built-in Art Gallery or Art Photos to turn your TV screen into a real work of art. There are even downloadable themes provided in association with TripAdvisor.

THINQ AI

LG OLED55C9 with ThinQ AI TV expands your AI experience with both the Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, as well as the built-in LG ThinQ software. Get answers to questions and control smart home appliances all through the power of your voice.

2019 models with the Alpha 9 Gen 2 and Alpha 7 Gen 2 processors also control picture & sound quality using the built-in AI technology.

LG’s ThinQ AI enabled range of TV’s Can work with AND have built-in, both Google Assistant and Alexa as well as using LG’s own proprietary ThinQ technology to control the TV.

AirPlay2

LG`s 2019 OLED and NanoCell range of TV`s support AirPlay2, AirPlay2 allows you to seamlessly connect your Apple products to your TV to play videos, music, photos and more content directly to your TV. You can even mirror your screen and see the same thing that is on your iOS device on your compatible TV.

Do you think there will be similarly well priced deals compared to last Easter?

I’d imagine most of the 2019 models to be sold out by late summer. I’m going to bite on the 65” C9 if it goes down to £1,699 (hopefully)

it is a poor price. and thanks for being mature enough for the insult. Most deals over the past month have been 100 quid cheaper.

A similar deal was posted not so long ago for the same price and it was rated over 100, I thought I would be doing people a favour.

You’re right it has been cheaper than this, gotta hang on another few weeks though.

Do get me wrong. Appreciate the effort but it is worth holding out a bit longer. Anything sub 1200 i reckon will get very hot - thats my biting point at least anyway

Are people mixing this up with the inferior B9? I don’t recall seeing this for much less than this deal?

Me neither! £1,299 for a 55” C9 is pretty great atm. Perhaps because we’re edging closer to Easter?
Same price at Crampton and Moore. Richer Sounds price matched them for me this afternoon and took off an extra £20 incase anyone is interested. £1279 in total.
Crazy that this has been rated cold 🥶

This is the cheapest you’ll find the C9 for currently, and only a week ago you couldn’t find it for less than £1,499.

You’d think this was a B9 deal or something! Oh well

Lol, I’d give you that +1 but I already voted +
I just brought a LG OLED55C9PLA and one things that wasn't ever mentioned and is completely unforgivable, is the power lead is both too short for most uses and also uses a custom socket, hidden under a panel, to connect to the TV, so obviously isn't supposed to be swapped out.

This is a real PITA and for a TV likely to be used for some sophisticated AV setups, where you're more likely to need to pass the power cord through narrow openings and cable trays etc., looks like a deliberate ploy to get you to invalidate the guarantee by removing the mains plug etc.

Every other TV I've ever installed (and that's lots over the years inc. 60" LG plasmas), had either industry standard 3 pin "kettle", or 2 pin 'figure of 8' sockets on the back of the set. When there's not a lot between the brands sets, it makes me wish I'd bought another brand's e.g. a Samsung.
