I think you missed the point of the everything here ..... lool.

same price since 1988.

Looks great. Does it have blue lights too?

Can it work on batteries so that I can boogie on down as I get around.

You aren't going to get hi fi, that's for sure. Ok for a kiddies bedroom I suppose.

Can you shuffle USB music? My HIFI does the same order and theres no shuffle option!!?

Everyone needs a shuffle.

Dunno where they're getting 300w from.

LG site says 180 (and doesn't state if that's peak or RMS).
What HiFi also says 180 (RMS)
Amazon says 160.

And this Argos Ebay listing says 300?!?!? I've probably seen Argos get more descriptions and specs wrong than any other website so I know who I'd be inclined NOT to believe. Not that a "claimed" wattage rating on audio products really means that much on it's own, even an RMS one (peak is an worse claim .... but it hooks in the teenagers so they use it).

Still, if you want a small, boomy, 80's looking micro system, it seems like a good price. So heat for that ...

Be very surprised if it is actually 150W RMS - be even more surprised if those speakers could handle that level of power without very significant levels of distortion.

Exactly. Without distortion figures it's pretty much meaningless. Even worse if they use peak figures.

But, like I said, big numbers hook the teenagers in. They worked on me before I knew better ....

I think I would much rather have my Rotel RA-01 & Mission 2 way 700 speakers.
Even though its low watts I would think it would be just so much better.
Also these seem to have sold out though as said above the LG would be OK for kids room.

I think he was pretty much spot on actually.

There were only 2 availble, and only one left now.

How this got to be 200+ degrees i'll never know, Shows you how many people actually buy these hot deals.

Heat added but no Bluetooth is big turn off for me

Best sound I ever heard was back in 1989 when I was a student and was lucky enough to get to know the owners of some esoteric high end hi-fi companies. They played me a 1W vacuum valve amp (Voyd Ref turntable front end) through some £25k Audio Note speakers (wider than a man's arm spread and took three people to lift them). It blew my mind in terms of staging and realism - they played me some Art Blakey and with my eyes shut I would have sworn there was a drummer in the room. And that was just a 1W amp.....really, no BS. Will never forget the experience. Sure the speakers had a big bearing on it, but they can only reproduce what the amp sends them..

interesting.....zzzzz

Do people still buy these things...? Last one I had had double tape (record on the left hand side only), tray loading for three CD's and a record player on the top..

Doubt many would still use the CD function but to be fair these no nonsense old school systems provide good loud bassy music, no young person with a collection of digital compressed music cares about "hi fi" and the RMS stuff doesn't matter either. All that matters is that you can still annoy your mum playing Wu Tang Clan full blast when Corrie is on.
