I nearly bought this on Black Friday same price but read reviews on Richer Sounds I think, several of which spoke about burn in on screen after light and careful use. Anyway, I ended up spending more on an Panasonic OLED from John Lewis which has just arrived so I can’t comment on that just yet.

and what makes you think the Panasonic won't suffer from the same issue?

That's an issue inherent to the tech and not specifically the LG OLED models. If you vary the content and not keep static images on the screen for hours at a time, it's an issue that *should* be avoidable but if you're really worried about the possibility, a normal LED may be better for you.

LG are the only company that makes the panels.

LG display division sells them to LG, Sony and Panasonic. LG is the cheapest, Panasonic has ambilight, Sony has best motion handling. The screens are all the same, the rest is just software.
Wrong photo in the deal. The image is of a C9 not a B9, so people just looking at the image will incorrectly vote this deal hot thinking it’s a better than it actually is.

But the Panasonic's panel is made by LG so wouldn't it have the same problems with burn in. Check out YouTube test done there with TV's left on 24 7 for 6 months result no burn in at all.

I've had the same problem with Sony, the conclusion I reached was only buy something with a 5 year plus warranty.
