Definitely seen a reduction in quality of LG washing machines. Used to install these in flats I rent. Have had one still going strong after 23 years and another lasted 16 but last 2 I’ve bought lasted about 7 years. It was a case that the extra you paid for AEG was for quality but now they are just another cut price brand.

mate you are right big brands aswell cutting corners too save mo

7 years is still not a bad innings for a modern washing machine. Think the days have gone for them lasting a whole decade or two. There are other brands at this price that would last half time of the LG.

Really sorry to report that the WASH40 voucher is no longer working - Currys often do this where they update the prices first (midnight last night) and then update the promo codes afterwards (sometime this morning).

lg brand is make good washing machine

Got a very similar LG washer earlier this year after doing alot of reading, they nearly all come with a 5 year parts and labour warranty ( 10 years on the motor ) and as another user has mentioned typically have a lifespan of 7ish years. Would much rather spend £300 on this that the miele the other day that was double the price and still had the same warranty ( different story if it was a 10 year warranty miele )
