Looking for a new washing machine as my 6 year old Panasonic is making weird noises! This LG looks to be good, A+++, 1400rpm, 8KG and is circa £550 + elsewhere. 2 year guarantee by JL and LG guarantee the motor and drive for 10 years. Even has a steam wash and wifi apps on it!!

I think 1400 spin is a bit low, energy rating is great though and 8kg good, depends what you need.

I'd get one of the machines with 5 Year warranty (LG list them here lg.com/uk/…nty )
I picked up one of these a month ago from Currys for £359.
probably brushes going in the motor change them is easy cost about a tenner
,good as new. ps unplug before starting.

Can anyone help in explaining lg model numbers and if the following 9kg model with a further £20 off code would be a better buy?

I have the same machine, cracking washing machine until it flooded all over my new kitchen floor. Turned out that it wasn't put together properly in the factory. LG customer service absolutely shocking.

Did you get it fixed in the end, or did you replace it with something else?

No reviews is pretty scared. Slightly curious how quiet a silent wash is.
We have one. Quiet, and has been great so far, got the 5 year warranty, so hopefully covered. Also, it plays a fun little tune when it's done.
watwat. how long have you owned it for? did you pay the 140 or what ever for the extended warrenty?
so thoughts on this washer and the price? are lg a good make for washers and would ppl consider the extra warrenty at £140 worth it?

I'd advise against connecting it to WiFi by the way. It's appliances exactly like this that end up being claimed as part of a botnet which can then be controlled remotely and used to attack websites. Appliances like this are not built with security in mind, in fact not even basic security measures are taken and there will likely never be an update to fix any flaws.. if there's even an update mechanism at all.

Even if you don't care about malicious attacks consider that permanent damage could be done to it or even the fact if someone gains remote access to this washing machine they then have a route through to other devices on your network.

Don't believe me? Go on google and search "IoT botnet" or "internet of things botnet".

I must remember to order a new tin foil hat
Can anyone find the wash times? not stated in the manual, don't want to buy if it takes ages.
Thanks

I would imagine it would be a standard 90 mins unless you put it on a quick wash. Apparently this washer uses 30% less energy than is required for a triple A rating.

Panasonic bearing is probably going like ours did twice, first time new machine with new 5 warrenty second time got a refund and got a samsung ecobubble which does the job but much longer wash times.
Is it really over 5 hours for a 60 degree cycle? How long are the 30/40 cycles and quick wash? My current LG does a quick wash in 35 mins and other cycles are around 90 mins. Been looking for a replacement but every time I look at cycle times, they seem ridiculously long!
