excellent find

TCB also gives £5 approx. They won't come in original LG box as Smartfonestore supply their own boxes with their logo on it and you only receive a USB lead and no wall charger.

Have to disagree:) My G2 was in original box in brand new condition in every way possible:) sealed accesories...

they'll give you the original box and accessories if they have it otherwise you get a smartfonestore box and usb cable

Weren't these 299 for brand new ones recently?

i was offered it for £285 brand new through flubit. Just in case that helps anyone's decision

Probably with the extra 25 quid to get a full LG warranty, as they will not deal with you unless you have the original purchase recipe.

receipt.

They only supply original boxes with items in their 'Brand New' category. I have been using them for the last 3 years and ordered thousands of items from them and not once have I received it in an original box with original accessories. It also mentions clearly on their home page that 'All orders dispatched in a Bespoke box' (ie, their own branded box).

Can't explain why you received an original box but must have been one in a million chance. However, I admit their Grade A items are normally brand new looking and their Customer Service is very good.

Just checked and you are correct - it does indeed mention Grade A's are shipped with original box - never seen this before with any other Grade A product on their website.

Apologies if you feel I was doubting you and happy to be proved wrong.

As a side note, you should also receive a free portable USB charger as they currently have a deal that any orders between 1-5th December will receive this item free.

This is true. HTC, Samsung and Sony don't ask for a receipt - I know this from multiple repairs I've set up for different phones - but LG do. Had my Nexus 5 repaired recently as it stopped getting phone service. They asked for 1) the original purchase date, 2) the original receipt 3) the serial number from the original BOX as well as the IMEI. Apparently the SN on the phone is not the same as the one on the box. I didn't originally buy my Nexus 5 but luckily I knew the guy who did and he dug out the Carphone Warehouse receipt for me.

For this reason I wouldn't buy a second hand device from LG as you'll be relying on the seller to sort any issues. I tried ringing back multiple times in the hope that I'd just got a grumpy LG rep on the phone but each time they insisted on the things mentioned above.

(Not the same as the one on the phone, I should have said)

HTC won't ask for a receipt, like Apple or Sony, but LG are militant about a proof of purchase.

It is or was at least £300 new from Amazon. Pay the extra guys.
