Lol still quoting the same rubbish I see
3D, 1080P?
Not 1080p, it's 2k.

Having moved from a Galaxy S3 I have to say the screen isn't anywhere near as vibrant, but much clearer. Doubt you'd notice as greater difference moving colour-wise from most other android variants or iPhone.

Fantastic performance though. Very quick, great camera and doesn't feel like a plastic slab.
Mine is not washed-out.
The G3 has a 2K screen resolution with a 500+PPI, I would exactly call such a screen 'washed out!'
I just bought the G3 and i really don't understand when people say the screen looks washed out! My Xperia Z1 did really look washed out but this one is absolutely neat.
I have one and i can understand the 'washed out' comment, however there is a setting for changing the colour/vibrancy. Once you set it everything is fine.
Why do people keep saying 2k? A 2k screen is very close to 1920 (1080p) screen. This is 2.5k by definition! It is 2560x1440 or 1440p.

Surely that would make it a 1.4k then?? if a 1080 screen is 1920×1080, the lesser number is the one that used in description? I may be wrong though

1080p is the number of horizontal lines and progressive or interlaced scanning.

4k is referring to 4096 x 2160, Ultra HD tvs seem to be 3840 X 2160 and are getting called 4k though.

S5

I bought the S5 and sent it back and bought the G3 (Ex S4 owner). The G3 is the best phone I've ever used period, the S5 is the worst.

A|ll down to user preference.
I also don't think this is hot....

Wait for the offers, I bought my wife one when they were giving wireless chargers free, came to £402 for the 16gb version. Then bought myself the 32gb version for about £412 and incldued the LG G Watch which I sold on amazon for £140.....

If you use Amazon's conversion i.e. pay in £ sterling then there is no extra to pay, although their rate is a little higher than what you would get at your bank. If you pay in Euros it works out cheaper BUT your bank will charge you for the conversion.

I tried to order something last month and it wouldn't let me finish the order. It must have been an error then.
Not an error. Amazon.de did stop shipping this phone (and others I think) to the UK and people were using a third party company to re-ship instead.

I've bought loads of electronics from amazon germany with no problem (Nikon D7000, Asus AC68U...)

When I pre ordered the LG G3 before release Amazon DE Customer Services cancelled my order with this crappy excuse...

Having taken a look at the matter I would like to inform you that the … Having taken a look at the matter I would like to inform you that the item may only be shipped to addresses in Germany and Austria. The reason is that the item contains hazardous materials, thus not being eligible for dispatch to all countries.

... They are now saying it does not contain hazardous materials or as i suspected at the time the excuse was a sham.

there's no screen warmth or contrast. there's a colour option but that changes the colour altogether.

Today I actually got the second invite for the OnePlus (I ignored the first a few weeks back) and I was close to buying it. Till I realised camelcamelcamel had e-mailed me to let me know the G3 was below 400euros.

When you say better phone overall you mean a larger phone with the same sized screen as a G3 but a lower resolution. Combined with no microSD slot, no removable battery and a worse camera (G3 has laser focusing and optical image stabilisation). The LG also has support for all the LTE bands in use in the UK. The OnePlus supports just 66% of the available bands ;). Yes it's cheaper but it's a worse phone.
