Been looking for a spare battery for the G3, this is the best I've found. Anker has a reputation for being one of the best (if not the best) 3rd party battery manufacturers, and since the original LG batteries are not available to buy, these seem like the next best thing.

Price is in dollars, but according to ebay it works out at approx £12.62 delivered. Shipping is from the US, but it is cheap, and I'm not sure if any customs charges would apply to something so low cost? (would appreciate comments from people who about these things).

Anyone voting cold could you please let me know why? I'm after a spare battery and if there is anything better around I would like to know about it!

P.S.- Can anyone recommend any cheap external battery chargers?

Good, almost half the price, however will wait for 3,500mah

Can this be instantly changed when out and about, or is it a battery that needs screwdrivers and patience

By 'almost half the price', do you mean half the price of an original battery? And I'm not sure whether extended batteries (ones that don't require a special case) are coming, since it's already been quite a few months since the G3's release. There is a 9000mah zerolemon battery out in the states, but it requires adding a special case and a lot of bulk to the phone

It doesn't require screwdrivers or anything, you can instantly change it, just pop off the back cover of the phone and replace the existing battery with this one.

In order to charge it, you can either charge it when it's inside the phone or buy a cheap external battery charger

I've got an Anker bigger battery in my Samsung Galaxy S4 and I tell you it weighs as much as an anchor....

what has your experience been like with the battery performance?

I've bought these tanker batts before but only last few charges until have to be kept on charge permanently. galaxy 3 and 4 but haven't got any better. waste of money

Just found this cheap external battery charger to charge the battery: ebay.co.uk/itm…8fa

my anker batteries have been great for my s3

Official batteries are easily available, just order them from Korea! the F400 batteries work fine in the 800 models, one is currently powering my 855.

Hot at this price tho so ordered a couple, cheers OP.

Complete and utter rubbish! Anker batteries are as spot on as the rest of their products, I have 2 battery packs of theirs, one nearly 2 year old, the other 18 months and both work brilliantly. If you had an issue, you should have contacted them and they would have sorted your issue out for them!

Hi, do you have a link to where you bought them? I've come across some but the problem is that there's often no way to be sure whether the batteries are actually original or just fakes that the seller is claiming to be original. And also, they are usually extremely expensive (especially when you add international shipping and any customs charges into the mix).

Got mine from Ebay with an official charger, was about £43 for both from memory but sadly I don't have a link now. one I have is obviously in Korean but comparing it with pictures from the web if its a fake its a bloody good one and it works no different from the one the phone came with.

That said I would absolutely trust these, both Anker battery packs I have have safely charged my previous HTC One M7 and my LG G3 with no issues what so ever, in fact the only issue I have with an Anker product is both the 5 port IO chargers I have. Sometimes both refuse to high-speed charge my G3 via the LG Oi charger, sometimes they do, sometimes they don't . Can't figure out why either.

I bought this battery because my battery was always running out of charge very quickly. I have been using this for two months and until now everything is fine.

Hmm, I think it must have been a different brand you bought, because Anker only released this battery at the very end of October?

That is dirt cheap, I'm wondering if it can be trusted. Looking at the picture it appears to only have 2 terminals which means no temperature monitoring?
