that's RRP.. not a deal as such and IMO lg should've kept it at around £460 rrp to compete with s7, which costs the same.

Will go down shortly.
Shame they relocated he volume buttons.

One things for sure the next mobile phone I get this summer will be a tough choice!

"Official Price To Be Confirmed"

Where are the volume buttons out of interest!? Love my back buttons

on the side now.

Ebuyer got them on preorder as well £530

A good rule of thumb with LGs - don't buy them at launch, unless you don't mind their value dropping like a stone. Unfortunately I've ignored my own rule of thumb the last two years!

Who makes that?

waiting for price to come under £350 and I'm buying one it still has removable battery and micro SD card slot

Not sure why anyone would spend this on an LG phone.Terrible handsets all promise a lot and under deliver.

Yet still get excellent user reviews, must all be wrong eh!
Seriously though they do a lot more right than wrong on the whole and at least try new things.

where can you get and s7 for £460?

I love my lg g4 and I had a note 4 before it. Can't wait for the g5. I think I'll miss the curved back and screen along with the location of the volume buttons.

I'd rather go for Xiaomi Mi5 for 1/3 the price :P

Let's hope they got the motherboard right on this model.......Any G4 owners out there who get the boot loop problem followed by phone won't start or charge then contact your airtime provider and see what they will do, i.e. repair or give you an exchange. If you want the same model of phone back then ask if they have stock first. If they don't and offer you something you don't want then get in touch with LG and they will sort it out. I recently had this problem on my G4 and wanted it repairing or exchanging. Virgin do not offer you a repair if phone is over a certain age. Mine was just under 7 months old and got the boot loop of death shortly after upgrading to marshmallow. They just want to exchange the phone for an 'as new' one which in my case wasn't a G4. They hadn't even looked at the phone when they told me it couldn't be repaired. I got in touch with LG and they arranged collection of it. Worth bearing in mind for any phone. Excellent communication from both Virgin and LG but what I really wanted was my own LG repaired which Virgin don't do and they had no stock of any phone with a 5.5" screen. I would have thought they would just send my phone back to the manufacturer but no.

talking about lg price not s7. s7 has the same rrp as the lg g5 does. re-read the comment.

love the g5's modular design, but would rather wait and see what the note 6 has to offer......have had a flagship lg phone before and had so many problems, and not to mention lg's extremely slow rate at releasing os updates at the time.....never had / have issues with my note 3 or 4......so pleased that both lg and samsung have retained sd card slots in their new models

lg refused to repair my lg g3 when it developed cracks either end for no reason. shortly after it then started getting screen fade. then there was the awful battery life.

lg quality control is shocking. the lg g5 will develop all sorts of faults I'm sure if the g3 and g4 are anything to go by.

avoid

huawei mate 8 is a much better choice imo

Love back buttons, love headphone jack on the bottom of the phone with the G4. With these 2 things missing I'm not so sure...

Enjoy having lacklustre service since it doesn't support all the UK bands.

The big problem I have with the modular design is a pricey phone becomes significantly more expensive when you start having to buy a bunch of addons. The more this approach becomes the norm though (if it succeeds) the cheaper the modules will become

Too expensive. It would be interesting to see the profit margin on high end mobile phones. Personally I believe that they are all jumping on the bandwagon that people will just want to waste money on the latest phone when it's not really much of an improvement over last years. If samsung, lg and sony can make a high quality 7", 8", 9", 10" tablet for around the £200.00 mark then a phone should not be nowhere near twice the price but because people will pay it they sell. A vicious circle I know but I bought my last phone on an hp agreement and not an airtime contract so leaves me free to get a new phone when I want. If only they weren't ridiculous prices. It will be interesting to see if any other manufacturers making decent equipment wishes to break onto the mobile market as we have also seen Samsung charging the same for their phones as Apple and the other manufacturers are not far behind.

The Mi5 supports Band 20 @ 800mhz making it compatible with all UK 4G bands.

I haven't seen any confirmation of band 20 support, only confirmation that it is not supported. Only 3 and 7 according to most sources. willmyphonework.net/
