Which are only really worth £50 on ebay. Still, seems reasonable

Does the 'friend' come with a battery like the picture suggests?

Don't think so - I think it's just showing how it plugs in. Mine is arriving today so I can let you know after.

Got it - but a) not the typical price (see above), b) it was £53, c) it doesn't include the DAC/Amp which is another minimum £75

I sold mine for £59, they arent the best headphone to be honest but if you can sell £60 is £60

lol. I'm not saying it's a bad deal dude - just sharing it's not quite as attractive as £300 earphones.

That's just the earphones

Cold.... not an iPhone.

Haha just joking, someone had to make a silly apple remark. I don't think the hear is quite worth £300 as you can get each component much cheaper. But for a overall deal on a new ish mobile. Heat from me.

*gear rather not hear.....

This one's on the ball, eh?

Add something that's crazily overpriced into a deal and it does not suddenly become a good deal. B&O headphones + a DAC worth £300? Maybe they're priced like that but they're certainly not worth it. Far better alternatives for cheaper, just Google "best headphones" or "best DAC". Notice how nothing B&O is on anyone's list. Cold.

I'm personally not interested in this phone, but I can acqknowledge that it's a decent deal for anyone looking to get it.

Some unecessary negativity on this thread...

Great phone, headphones and DAC. Have all 3 and highly recommend. Only issue is LG phone plummet in price for some reason. Check WhatHiFi reviews for DAC and phone

Each to their own. DAC has a premium because it's the only DAC that can be plugged into & become part of the phone.

If you don't like them, sell second-hand for a minimum of £100 and get a good deal on just the G5

Take initial comments & voting on this site with a pinch of salt, although 270° to the good after only 4-5 hours is very good.

When the OP3 deal was posted initially, it was very negatively commented on & voted only cold for ~2 weeks, even going down to around minus 200°. Go & have a look now at what it ended up with before it expired for the price.

Does anyone know where I can find a cheaper deal (phone only)? I found one @ Gadget Monocle but I'm a bit wary of websites like these.

Great price. I was waiting for a decent S7 deal but might pull the trigger on this instead.

That's a good deal. I have had the G5 since launch and had no issues with it - still really fast, battery life is fine, and the wide angle camera is suprisingly useful. No issues with build quality on mine. The headphones are great, though I'm sure I could get equal performance for a lot less without the B&O branding you can't deny the build quality is nice. Can't comment on the DAC - my deal came with a B&O bluetooth speaker instead which is also excellent. Good price for 4gb RAM SD820 phone with good headphones that should be among the first to get Android Nougat. Replaceable battery was main reason I went for this over the S7 on contract.

Its a hot vote from Alan Partridge

LG lock most of their phones up. I would never buy again.

Does this come with the free LG CAM Plus? It's advertised on the top of the Argos page, but the link takes you through to the non-bundled version of the phone. Sorry I can't link the banner as I'm at work.

3 possible options:

It's £439.99 on Very at present (comes with the Cam Plus, which you can sell perhaps to make the phone even cheaper).
When you open a new Very account, they'll give you 10% off with voucher code: KLLHN, so making the phone £396 (£439.99 - 43.99).

Or, £399.99 from Amazon directly: https://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-G5-32-SIM-Free-Smartphone/dp/B01CDZYXXE

Or, ~£350 from a well-established eBay seller (t-dimension10) & sent from the UK:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LG-G5-H860-Dual-LTE-32GB-Silver-Unlocked-Eng-DE-IT-ES-FR-gft-Ship-fm-UK-X1333-/262476215469
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LG-G5-H860-Dual-LTE-32GB-Black-Unlocked-Eng-DE-IT-ES-FR-gft-Ship-from-UK-X1219-/262432154924

Gadget Monocle is situated in Hong Kong, so yes, definitely one to avoid.

Could you have found the same package from an onshore, trusted seller, new for the same price or cheaper?

If the answer is no then you should have used logic and voted hot. Rather than moaning about RRP claims and B&O as a brand.

Taking bits out of your phone depending on what you are using it for, whatever next.

If he/she means a locked bootloader, then that is also not true for this phone:

Official Bootloader Unlock Available for the European LG G5!

just missing the DAC. Wish I had a deal like this when I got the phone
voted hot anyway

Awesome deal...ONLY IF you need a new phone NOW!!

"ooooo whats that?" bang and olufsen "oh i see hahaha"

How's the battery life in real life? It's pretty much the only thing that puts me off this phone against the the S7.
I've read plenty of reviews but I really can't decide whether to spend a little more on the Samsung... Owned the G4, wasn't all that impressed.

why on earth would I need a digital to analogue converter. A 3.5mm headphone jack puts out an analogue signal already. Do the headphones plug in to the micro USB socket?

Reckon you could get £200 for the headphones and dac together?

Not after this offer. You'll be lucky to sell them on eBay given the number that will be listed tomorrow.
