At this price, is it worth snapping up?

I'm looking to switch from iPhone and don't want to spend anything above £400. I know you can get the Korean version but without warrenty, I don't think its worth the risk if it breaks etc

Good price! I'd probably snap this up if I was in the market. My iPhone 6 is still going strong though

Great price. Not the latest processor now but it'll still be snappy. After the disappointment of the Pixel 2 XL, I was looking at the LG V30 instead, but this G6 is so much cheaper.

Im in the same boat as you! I was waiting for the Pixel 2 as well, but not 100% on the 5" design. XL is too big for me

LG V30 is too expensive with no deals. You thinking of buying the G6 then?

AO.com say they'll take up to 45% off what you've paid for the item, if you return and you've used it. It's abit ambiguous , so if I turn on the phone I won't get a full refund? I understand if you've damaged the phone, but this wordings pretty lose. It's one of the reasons I use Amazon, because I know I'll get a refund of it's not what I really wanted.

Not of fan of LG anymore, they dropped support of the G4 within 6 month of purchase, glad to get rid of it an upgrade to a Pixel.

Quite strange that, I thought it was the law for online retailers to accept returns in 14 days if you "change your mind". I'm sure if it was challenged, they would have to comply?

Probably should wait until LG support Oreo to be on the safer side?

I believe that technically under the law, you are only allowed to use it enough to test it along the lines of how you could test it in a shop, i.e. they could claim that if you used it for 12 days as your main phone before deciding you didn't like it, that it wasn't covered under that. Many retailers e.g. Amazon etc. basically let you return for any reason within 14 days, but I don't think the law specifies that they must.

Or to give another example, if you ordered a suit online, cut all the tags off and wore it to a bunch of interviews before sending it back within 14 days, I don't think anyone would expect the law to force the retailer to give you all of your money back.

Good phone with great battery management. This replaced a Moto Z and lasts nearly twice as long.

Moto Z is far from being a benchmark in battery life though...

XL 6mm taller and 2mm wider than the V30.

That's nothing. Not sure why you would say no to a XL and yes to V30 on the grounds of 6mm. It isn't like its a huge difference and also gives you a 2nd front speaker.

Been using this for a few months now and really like it, certainly a good alternative to other handsets out there.

Had the iPhone 6s Plus before and that phone drove me mad. Think its same size as the XL?

Bought the 64gb version last week from tobydeals for 332. I read up on tobydeals and concluded they were among the better asian sellers

It's all about condition, if it's returned in exactly the same condition it was received in then they have to give a full refund whether you cancelled day 1 or day 14, so take good care of things including packaging when you open the item.

Of course an untrustworthy company can use the part of the law that's meant to protect them from losses, against you by claiming the item was returned in a used condition.

Comes down to trust on both sides in the end.

We're well beyond the point where you need to pay £600+ for a decent phone. My Honor 8 was £350 new last year and worked better and felt as quick as the Samsung Galaxy s7 it replaced. Only the camera was noticeably worse, and for my use was still very good. I think this phone is a great buy.

6s Plus is a touch larger, hardly anything in it. V30 smallest of the 3 but like I say, 6mm is nothing when you consider the size of the phone to begin with.

They might be more reliable? but they only accept paypal so your not covered by section 75, paypal protection is their own voluntary system, in other words they can tell you to get stuffed and theres nothing you can do.

Seems risky. Have you received yours? I like the Blue colour

Tempted what others are available around this price?

You could buy a Pixel XL 32GB from CPW for £399

Maybe OnePlus 5 for more?

It was £350 from wowcamera.com which alleges it is EU stock so has warranty. Isn't that a viable alternative?

Haven't used them myself, however wonda mobile have the LGV30 SIM free for £649.99 shipping from 16th. DHL £15 extra for 3-5 day tracked delivery. Seem to take all payments including PayPal etc. Has any one used them? Seems a decent deal if reliable.

There TrustPilot has great reviews, I wish you never showed me. At that price it is very tempting...

Are you going for it?

It's on my mind, yeah, but I'm also thinking of just sticking with my current Pixel for another year as you just can't beat pure android. This phone hasn't let me down at all so I could just be sensible and wait to see what the Pixel 3 might look like.

Only issue is the warrenty ... I won't be a fool if something went wrong. LG warrenty is regional correct? Not global like Apple?

Well i would snap up a Pixel 1 but stock is scarce. My options are LG / Pixel. Not a fan of samsung and can't see any other Android phones that interest me

This is causing me a great dilemma.... Half the price of the v30 is mightily tempting.

Just bought a Pixel XL but now very tempted by this

Got the XL but find its too big and not waterproof. Tempted. Just worried about the software.

LG support is nothing to boast about but I have to say as crappy as they were they did take mine back 3 times over an 18 month period. They also now guarantee phones like the G6 for two years rather than one.

Was a little disappointed that the £20 off is for the next order. Still the cheapest for a new genuine UK model. Bought to replace my wife's g5 that died after getting wet!

This is a great deal for a rootable, UK-supported model. However, the lack of a LED notification light is a real deal-breaker. The always-on display does not serve the same function. Also, the camera is not improved (in some cases it's worse) that the one on the LG G4. I so wanted to like this phone!
