Colours actually not that bad. It's not too "baby blue". Depending on the light it can look like the platinum colour actually.
I'm going to get a tpu case for it anyway.

Truth be told the reason I purchased the blue colour was because it's only just been released, along with the announcement of the G6+. I guessed I'd be getting a recently manufactured unit, rather than earlier units that eglobal might have had sitting in stock since release. Turns out I was correct as mine was actually manufactured in June 17 looking at the box (which I think is why it was delayed). So hopefully no issues with camera lens cracking if they've quietly fixed that problem with earlier models. No idea if this is true (I'm just speculating).

I like the phone very much, smaller than my G4, and the screen is awesome. I love the DAC, you can easily tell the difference even with a normal pair of headphones. It's heavier than the G4 surprisingly and I'm getting used to the always on display. It came with a pre-applied screen protector, box was open (there was no seal broken, guess that's just how it is in far eastern markets.

They also sent a free cleaning cloth:

I also got 100GB free google drive promotion for 2 years lol

Why don't they clearly state all local taxes Included in the price or shipped from EU warehouse then?

I said that before - they sending your order in bulk and then by DPD from Manchester, so no risk for extra charge.
I have ordered my LG V20 on thursday morning and it arrived on tuesday next week without extra payments...

What's are they like in honouring the warranty?

To be fair he could run a business selling electronics, hence the frustration at perceived "illegal practices".

On topic - so tempted to combine this deal with the Vodafone 8gb SIM for 8.75 but I don't have a credit card and buying without section 75 protection seems a bit naive.

Boot loop, warranty, VAT - someone should make a bingo card for every LG deal from eglobal

What's boring is seeing this phone reposted every time it drops £5.

I know it's dodgy buying from these with unknown after sales if anything goes wrong, but it is getting down to a level that's tempting me.

My Gflex 2 just went into a boot failure after 18 months of pretty hard use. The phones are great, but the risk with reliability is too much for me without warranty.

aren't some debit card purchases covered by section 75, you could check with your bank

A qualified S75 purchase provides the same warranty obligation as the merchant, but serviced by the UK credit provider. In this case: 12months.

Section 75 Consumer Credit Act 1974 exclusively applies to credit purchases, not debit card purchases. Debit purchases may qualify for chargeback option, but offers nowhere near the legally enforceable protection of S75.

stoney73

paypal.

Paypal may offer up to 180days to make a claim, but does not have the back-up of UK legal system. A qualified S75 purchase legally obliges UK credit provider to service all the obligations of the merchant from fulfilment to warranty.

Just bought my g4 a 6000ma battery. Now 2 day life so love it again. Still tempted by the g6 though

Same people keep complaining about no warranty and this and that. Just go and buy it for £600 from the shops and that's it.

That's interesting, but in the case of a fault, presumably it would need sending back to seller first at buyers cost, then if they can't/won't do anything then after a certain amount of time the CC company would step in.
Unfortunately, I'm thinking that may take months, or if the process quicker?

Legally it is joint liability - you can (in theory) ignore the retailer & go straight to the CC as if they sold it. I reckon you may be best to having seen the EGC feedback. The price is about 50% better (or 33% less) than anywhere else I have seen...

They have the G6+ listed at £600.
