This better than Oneplus 5?

I own a One+ 3 & LG G6 (64Gb, DAC), bought a One+ 5 and have returned it today as I didn't think it was better than the G6 and in someways worse.

It costs more.
One+ 5 camera worse
No SD Card
No QHD HDR screen
No Quad DAC
No waterproofing

The only thing going for the One+ 5 compared to G6 is the software (which isn't bad on the G6), and the SnapDragon 835 which in real world usage I couldn't tell difference.

warranty valid in uk ?

EU warranty Valid until Brexit.

I bought one of these for £335 from eglobal, using a credit card for warranty.

Too many previous maladaptive issues on the G series.

Was sooo wanting to upgrade to this phone from my brilliant G4 BUT only just found out there is no "notification" led light!!!!!! Wow gutted as this is a MUST have for me and many other's!!! WHY LG WHY??? always on is no substitute its rubbish.
So what now??/ where do i go so wanted another LG any suggestions guys similar price same spec or better?

I had a G2 mini for ages and loved it wanted another LG but the G3 wasn't brilliant at the time so brought a Sony Z3 compact it lasted about 2 years then died on me that was in January this year I plumped for a Lenovo P2 from 3 it has a great battery with moderate use lasts 2 days, notification led is there I use its double sim and an SD card via adapter from Amazon, I can't complain, the only thing I would say is use an alternative camera app the stock one isn't brilliant.

Seems to be a common thing with manufacturers now, they use the always on screen instead so you know when you have a notification. Rather my falshing LED than wasting battery. Sticking with my LG G5 lol

Id assume that only this European version can have bootloader unlocked unlike the eglobal non eu version. Not an issue for most though.

I can't decide if I want a snapdragon 835 phone more than LG's awesome two camera system. Super wide angle kicks ass vs these phones with a secondary tele lenses Imo.

This or 64GB better spec G6 from EGlobal for ~£325?

I do totally agree, however I have gone for the G6 anyway, hopefully I won't miss it as much as I think. The G6 is just so much cheaper than similar phones.

Idiots like LG cutting corners on such basic things when there's so much competition about - is it any wonder they not selling well!!! If LG don't be careful they'll end up like Nokia or HTC - in the doldrums!

You won't notice the processor but you will the camera. I have the G5 an I couldn't go back to no wide angle now.

Hi. I get confused with the LG models. Does this have the 32bit DAC? My main use for my.phone is a safe music player. Thanks.

Also why is this deal not hotter?

This or 64GB better spec G6 from EGlobal for ~£325?

eglobal is 64gb and Dac version, this one is 32gb and no dac.The eglobal one , warranty pretty much non-existent whereas amazon are better than LG themselves.
Even after all the negatives I'd go for the eglobal as I don't keep my phone for more than a few months.
I got mine within about 5 days from eglobal and sold it within a few weeks as I didnt like the camera (coming from a pixel) .However software was way better than samsung s7.
Luckily I didnt have any issues with my phone but I know someone who had and is not very happy with the return process.

All well when it's well then but when there's an issue it's a different story, so still a risk for £300 eglobal

I'm using LG since G2. No problem with that one, I still have it as a backup phone.
I had an LG G4 bought it from Vodafone. Had to sent to warranty in Poland and Italy (my work involves moving country to country) and LG accepted it for repair using IMEI number. Now it's with my father.
Then I had a G5..lost it. Reason why I needed to buy a new one.
If you buy from Eglobal, you have 1 year of warranty and a very long and questionable process in case anything goes wrong.
With the european version, you have only 32gb and no DAC version, but 2 years of warranty in EU. I rather pay £60 extra for the european version for peace of mind.

I was going to buy an S7 Edge, but I just want the wide camera. That's where LG got me.

What to you would constitute an 'unsafe' music player?

Possibly because the better (64Gb, dual-SIM, quad-DAC) version was selling for under £320 at EGC recently.

Cold from me. EGlobal is the better option. Especially if you like your music. DAC is amazing

there's an app called 'LED blinker notifications' and probably others. don't know about now (it might use icons) but I'm pretty sure it lights/blinks up a number of pixels on screen of various colors to show missed calls etc. could be a work around for you.

pretty sure the EU version will have a dac. it stands for digital to analogue converter so given wired headphones use, well, wires, the signal must be analogue. It's just the Korean version has a much better quad dac

As a G2 owner looking to finally upgrade the G6 seemed a no brainer for me. I didn't find out it was LED-less until it had been out a couple of weeks. Was pretty surprised and LG lost a sale.

EU warranty Valid until Brexit.

I think you'll find that incorrect.
Unfortunately LG phone's warranty will only be honoured from the country its sold from in this case it will only be valid in Italy unlike other Manufacturers warranty like Sony, Samsung, Apple etc when purchased from Europe they will be valid in all European countries.

I was referring to the Amazon warranty / guarantee

I think I'll go with this one. My Nexus 6P needs change and this seems much safer than eGlobalCentral one. Lack of DAC is a no issue since I use Bluetooth headphones anyways. I just can't make myself wait for new Pixels...

Is it possible to get EE Volte and WiFi calling working on the SIM free version of the LG G6?
