I hve this phone and its every bit as good as any iPhone or Samsung I ever had.i recommend this phone at 33% the price of iPhone x
Upgraded from a g4 to a g6 and to be honest i wish i hadnt bothered.

The main selling point of the G4 was the camera with laser focus, it easily beats the camera on the G6 which can take awful pictures indoors in low light.

The g6 screen is longer than the g4 but less wide. In reality this means that most content on the G6 is smaller than on the G4 but not noticibly sharper or higher quality. Before i sold my G4 i sat with the G4 and G6 side by side and was pretty disappointed that the G6 showed images, webpages and videos at about 90% of the size that the G4 did.

I've also had problems with the sim card/sd card tray which snapped when i tried to remove it. Ive retreived my simcard but its a common problem and some people have lost sd/sim cards inside the body of the phone. LG wont replace the tray under warranty, you can buy them for 6-7 quid on amazon/ebay.

Good price.
I know bootloop comments may sound like a broken record, and this is a tempting price, but I need to resist and actually give LG at least a small consequence for the terrible service with my Nexus 5x.

Always thought LG do great price/performance but that ratio gets skewed when they brick after a year. Hope they've sorted the issues out and G6 onwards are more reliable
Too many bootloops on this one.

GREAT PHONE, A STEAL AT THIS PRICE............................TOO MANY 13YEAR OLDS EAT BOOT LOOPS FOR BREAKFAST ITT........SIMPLY NOT TRUE WITH THE G6.
I like this a lot but will probably go for the Huawei Mate 10 pro now that it#s coming rapidly down in price. £549 at mobiles direct
I loves my lg g3 but as with the g4 my had a major fault . unlike with the g4 there was no support for those with the faulty screen. stay away from lg imo
If I recall correctly, the South Korean version (HD670) has the far superior audio DAC chip. You can pick this up on the usual grey market websites for similar or less money.
I HAVE HAD G2 G3 G4 G5 AND G6 AND NO ISSUES....................NO BELIEVE 13YR OLDS WHO TELL YOU OTHERWISE.................

YOU CAN ROOT THE H870 THEN INSTALL V4A WHICH WILL MAKE IT SOUND MUCH BETTER THAN THE KOREAN VERSION.

This is really helpful for someone who owns a LG G4 already and thinking about an upgrade. I do like the larger screen though but prefer swappable batteries with the LG G4.

Apparently I wasn't even close with the model number!

Interesting suggestion by the way. If that is in fact possible then I'm surprised I must say. I honestly expected that it was a hardware issue and not software.

a common misconception the 32bit ess dac isn't that good tbh.........................u can make the eropean model (h870) sound better than korean using v4a using same tech as dolby atmos through a DSP if your phone is rooted.

Superb phone. Outstanding price.

SUPER HOT!!
Buddy brought the s8 yesterday
Wanted the g6 more
Bought an LG G6 last week from John Lewis on a £370 price match. 2 year JL warranty. So worth the extra for the warranty I think. All I need now is my £60 refund and I'm happy. If I hadn't had the price match ide have gone for this. Heat added.
Great phone, using one now (upgrade from bootlooping G4). Would get the UK model only because you can't root Korean one.
Who did they price match?

I was looking at this for a while, but went for a Xiaomi Redmi 4x (3gb version) and for £100 ish it has blown me away.

Same question here. Who did they price match please?
LG V30!
Still raging at my bootlooping G4 and no repair.
100 more you get 5t cold for me
I've not experienced boot loops with my G6, but the microphone stopped working after a month. I sent it away to get repaired and when it came back the microphone was working but those who phoned me could hear themselves being echo'd back. Now the headphones have static in them.

I've just bought a Nokia 8 and am sending this G6 back again. So frustrating. It is a nice phone when it is working but I've had more trouble with this than any phone I've had before.

What's the advantage?
I've had my G6 for a few months and I think it's a great phone. Good screen, battery and nice software too.

Wish I kept my LG G4 and yes it did suffer bootloop but I managed to get it repaired under warranty. I then sold it to a mate so I could purchase Moto Z. Mistake. G6 not got great reviews.....
LG have terrible customer service. Me and my sister both got G4's almost 2 years ago with the Vodafone deal and we've both had the boot loop issue. Mine only happened last month, luckily before the warranty ran out, but my sisters happen after 9 months. She sent it off to be repaired by LG and the sent the phone back badly damaged - the bezel was scratched up on all sides with one amazingly deep scratch and the camera lens and lazer censor were scratched up as well.
There was also a puncture on the battery casing. You would have thought somebody had carried out a durability test on it!

Long story short, it took them months to fix the damage they cause and that was only half of it. They refused to replace the battery saying it was usable (even though it clearly states on the back of the battery do not puncture and therefore do not use if punctured). They also refused to replace the camera lens saying that the scratches were due to wear and tear (shifting the blame on to her) and that they were minuscule and could only be seen through a microscope. They were not minuscule, the scratches could be clearly seen with the naked eye when the light hit it. She sent pictures as evidence contradicting the report but they didnt want to hear it and refused to take further action.

She went to citizens advice and they said that there was nothing she could do.

So when mine broke I went to Vodafone and even that was a p take as they kept giving me damage replacements (1st time phone kept turning itself off then wouldnt turn back on and the 2nd ones display had screen burn). Currently on my 3rd replacement and have had it for a week and so far so good but my warranty has ran out now. Just a matter of time til it breaks, its a ticking time bomb.
It has put all of us off buying an LG phone no matter how good it is, which is a shame.

I know its a long comment but just something to consider if you're planing on buy an LG product especially a LG phone.

I assure you, you wouldn't be saying that if you had any experience of the issue. It wasn't a small percentage of phones, LG just tried to do damage control with press releases. I had recommended the G4 at work which led to four people purchasing it on contract over a small period of time. The shocking thing was ever single one of them including mine suffered with the boot loop issue showing you that this was not isolated incidents. The we all had the pleasure of dealing with LG's horrendous customer service,

My G4 has had multiple issues since owning. First there was the lines down the screen issue, which was sorted by LG with a screen replacement, which took ages.
Next the primary camera decided to act up when you use it. blurry picture, and it actually buzzes. Then I finally had the boot loop issue.
I sent it to them for repair, and informed them of the issue with the camera, and was told it would be repaired.
After weeks of waiting they finally returned the phone repaired apart from the camera. They never bothered to fix that.
I'll never buy LG ever again.
