Nothing says pre 2019 phone like a notch.
Shame it does not have the quad dac (personal requirement) because for this price the rest of the spec is hot.
Got mine a couple of months ago for £250 from another Italian site that I'm not allowed to mention on here. Really happy with phone, using it for this post. Buying within EU means it qualifies for LG UK 2 year warranty, don't forget to register.

Not the most intrusive notch I've ever seen, but it's still there I guess. I've always liked this phone, just battery puts me off.

The G7 has a quad DAC.

It does have 'Hifi Quad Dac' see Lg website. This phone has really' top notch' spec. Can't really understand people who get preoccupied with the notch, it's used as a functional part of the display giving info on signal, battery ,etc.

I keep my phones for years so dont want anything that will look dated. I did a comparison with lg g6 and could not see quad dac listed. Thought it was just v series that had the quad dac feature.
Thanks.
Heat. Excellent price for a flagship.

Is there a 6gb ram version of this phone?

Yeah, the g7+
This is not a normal notch, this is M&S (Apple-like) notch...

(gorgeous)

Regarding battery life, not bad using battery saver (I'm getting 1.5 days on average; functionally is reduced, for example you have to update weather manually, but extends battery life by 5-6 hours. In addition, screen resolution can be downgraded, haven't done it though yet, thought it'd be a sin to undermine such gorgeous screen)

Why can "Amazon Italy" be mentioned but other, cheaper site in Italy and Spain can not be mentioned?
(Same comment about the V30 deal, BTW)

I tried posting the offer when I got my phone and it was taken down , the reason given was the supplier wasn't approved. Don't know who decides these things but I didn't post until I'd got my phone and knew everything was legit'.

It can be mentioned, it can even be quoted

...but it can't be posted as a deal for reasons I just said on V30 deal
Weak battery (because of the insanely bright screen and only 3Ah) and anemic 64GB for a flagship. For this price? Why not. Not something I would go out of my way to get though.

So I found conflicted info on the internet. Won't comment further.

Also @Mrswitch is it £269.12 or £296.12?

Well lg announced the other day that no more releases are coming thats why price is dropping so much, tbh i am mote concerned with security than features but if u r not bothered then good phone

Is this lg7 better than xiaomi mi8?

G7 better design (more ergonomic), water/dust/shock proof, Dolby-compatible, hi-res sound, expandable storage, wireless charging

Screen on Mi 8 is Oled but much higher resolution on G7 (I'd say draw), more memory on Mi 8

Camera department seems quite even, sought-after ultra-wide lens on G7, not standout either of them, better selfie on Mi, bit better battery life

Software more polished on LG but difficulty getting updates in the past with LG, they seem to be trying harder now

Summing it up, G7 ThinQ seems a more premium product to me, but quite evenly matched, both released May 2018 with similar specs, it's the design and user experience that swings it for me, plus more flagship features, multimedia prowess

That's not accurate, Pie will be rolled out this year, started already in Korea

Thanks for the info, very helpful.

I currently have mi8, and was thinking to switch to lg 7. After reading your post, I think I will wait for the next model, lg 8 maybe.
I have the G7 - It's a great phone.
Minor niggles: Wide angle lens is fantastic on paper but lack of stabilisation means that real life results disappoint. Battery life is questionable.

When I bought the phone in January, the expectation was that Pie would be on it by March. Still no sign.
I'm not even certain I want Pie now that Google has removed the call record functionality.

You'd have to back up a statement like that I think, because it sounds unlikely.
