Hoping to redeem myself on posting deals from this seller after a disastrous Nexus 10 post :P

But this is the same seller who sold loads of refurbished Nexus 4 phones a while ago! Seems to be an EU edition with an EU plug.

It would appear it only comes with a EU power plug and no other accessories according to the listing

Great phone at a great price. I refuse to upgrade my nexus 4 as it does what I need it to. Guys. This is now at a decent price and has kit kat 4.4 on it. Grab it if you can.

no more battery issue?

same here thought about upgrading to nexus 5 but just no point this does everything I need quickly really is a great phone I not even bothered with a case for it and have dropped it a few times and never cracked cant say the same for iphone 4 I had before

battery is great on my phone

Ditto for me, I'll upgrade when forced to. To be fair, I still run an old Nokia as my back up too, as I primarily want a phone.

But surely Moto G blah blah blah?

great phone....but treat it like your best china, they,re very fragile...;-(

it is cheaper when it is not refurbished

I have a Nexus 4, my D has a Moto G, reviews say the difference in screen size is negligible, however I think it's quite a marked difference. The Moto G seems much narrower, which is actually a bonus if you have small hands, the Nexus 4 seemed massive when I first got it but I have midget hands! (_;)

great phone, I love it. wife has the moto g and tbh I'd go for that, they both do the same at the end of the day.

So what's the verdict? Is this better deal than a Moto G? Think my phone is about to die and I need a replacement of some sort.

Agreed....it's funny how the little things make such a difference...I loved my nexus 4 but sold it as got massive palm but short fingers couldn't reach the far left of screen without hand ache after a while...the nexus 5 is actually better as though bigger it is thinner...iPhone 5c on order as wife wanted my 16GB for exactly reason you just said...even 4s was too wide for her!

Just realised how dodgy that all sounded!

+1. Love my Nexus 4. Rock solid. I'm not a fan of wallet style cases and use the Ringke Fusion case together with a screen protector. Amazon Link Pricey at £10.95 but top notch quality. I bet these phones are customer returns and not new but worth a punt at this price.

Also nexus 4 vs moto g in design terms is Ferrari to kit car.. it is a much nicer looking phone...I would say still nicest with Apple. Voted hot too btw!

So there likely to be DSR type returns then - effectively used. I have no issue with that but i'd have preferred an honest description from the seller.

Worth a punt at that price, ordered! Cheers OP!

I'm guessing you've not actually seen or held a moto G. You're wrong, very wrong.

Still rocking a galaxy s2 but looking to upgrade. Does either the moto g or nexus 4 record video in HD? As I wouldn't want to downgrade in that respect.

Seller gets good ratings, so it does look like a good deal.

Both the Moto G and Nexus 4 are great. I have the Nexus and my GF had the Moto G. There are a few things missing on the Moto G, like the close transfer/wireless charging unit and the photosphere mode on the camera. The nexus feels better quality in the hand to me, but that's not a drastic difference. I think, for the most part, they are pretty similar and would have no concerns recommending either.

Aw. Happy memories of that Nexus 4 post going stratospheric. I bought my Nexus 4 thanks to this site back when they had the fire sale. Nostalgia!

FWIW, it's still an awesome phone. My friend has the Moto G and there's not much between them at all. The only real difference I noticed was that the Moto G didn't allow downloads on the BBC iPlayer app. The only other thing I'd say is that Google have now sold Motorola, so it's possible Android updates are more likely with the Nexus 4 than the Moto G? Meh, both are great phones. Just go for whichever one you like the look of.

Was wondering the same Justice. I might just get this, was looking a phone as a gift for a friend in italy, so eu plug is a bonus in this case.

likely to be returns from people who have changed their mind about the phone within 14 days

could always ask the seller

My wife has an Galaxy S2 that is getting on a bit. She uses the camera a lot - is the Nexus 4 at least as good for pictures?

Google sell a google play edition of the Moto G, so it's actually likely to be the other way around, as google provide updates for 2 years after phone last on sale (at least)

My wife and eldest daughter have the N4, my youngest daughter the Moto G.

Both great little phones for the relatively low cost - and this is from a Windows Phone user who has little regard for Android.

However, what I would say is that if camera performance is important to you, be prepared to be underwhelmed.....

The camera on my lowly little Samsung Ativ S (Windows Phone) blows these two away. My wife often literally asks to use my phone now if she needs to take a pic or video.

Other than that, they are decent phones both of them.

I'd keep the S2 camera, definitely beats Moto G, not 100 sure about N4

Thank folks - apologies for the re-post!

how about Nx4 vs S3? My main concern is camera and battery. thanks

MOTO E from Motorola - getting released on May 13 in London. Not sure about the specs, but it'll apparently be thinner than Moto G and lighter.

Having heard all the stories re Moto G camera I've just printed the first batch of Legoland pics taken with one. Admittedly they we're all taken in bright sunshine but I can't complain. As good as my S2 was, not far off the S3 but pale against my current lumia 920 obv.
