This SHOULD come unlocked too, as e2save is part of The Carphone Warehouse.

Is it my computer playing up or if you go to the deal and press the pick colour button there's only white? I don't know if it's a pop up blocker on my PC stopping it. Also, I wonder what version of Android!

Looks a nice phone and great price, so HOT for me.

Review here ;

And another thing !??! ;

The 1500mAh battery powering the LG Optimus manages to provide some serious standby time - about 21 days, while talk time is rated at 5.5 hours. A pretty satisfying performance on the overall, at least for today's smartphone standards.

( GASP !??! )

Cheap but has a resistive touch-screen and no flash

various website report taht there will be an update to Android 2 in September / October thsi year

looks like it maybe in silver as the available colours are black / silver / pink

very tempted for teh Missus !

Yes, it’s definitely black. Site has been updated now and I’ve amended image.

Looks like a good deal. Would like to pick one up. Are we sure this will get an update to 2.1? Would love 2.2 for the speed improvements but I doubt that it'll ever get that.

You can still get the T-Mobile Pulse Mini instore for £79.99p including a £10.00p top-up and that will be running with Android 2.1 from what I can see.

Cheers, Scotty Boy!

not confirmed yet but the hardware supports OS 2.x so why put the hardware into a budget device if its not going to be used?

CPW instore? Same price? Which network did you buy it on. Also what do you think of it as the smaller screen and resistive screen is putting me off slightly.

Yes in-store at CPW. £99.95 + £10 top-up on T-mobile.

The screen is small but much better than the 2.8" QVGA screens on phones such as the Pulse Mini or ZTE Racer. For a resistive screen it's not bad, once you get used to them they are okay. The screen is poor in bright sunlight but in my experience that is the case with almost all TFT or AMOLED displays, the only screens that work in bright sunlight are transflective LCDs, and they seem to have gone out of fashion.

The GT540 is not as good as a phone such as the Samsung Galaxy Portal, never mind a phone like the HTC Desire, but at £100 I have no complaints.

Thanks for that. I am tempted because of the price as the desire looks amazing but I dont fancy spending 300 quid.

maybe but a 1500 mah battery is still pretty high capacity for a smallish display and as most of the backgrounds are black the power consumption of the display is lower - therefore I would still expect above average battery life from thsi phone

I've got the T-Mobile Pulse with the same capacity battery;even with most apps set to show white text on black and wifi/gps/bluetooth turned off, I'd be lucky to get three days of light use without a charge. Of course, this phone may be slightly better but don't be expecting the quoted standby/talk times. Various apps can help extend the battery life,such as WiSyncPlus.

I have a T mobilepulse with android 1.5 which T mobile have upgraded to 2.1. I would check which provider gives an upgrade for this phone. You can unlock it with a code for about $20 over the internet, don't bother asking at your local shop or market stall as they will only do this and charge you more. If you buy the O2 and it is locked should run giffgaff sim ok. T mobile give free internet for 6 months and I think £30 for 6 months after that, but thier call charges are high at 25p, so I've kept my old phone for making calls and use my android as a PDA

you cna use co-pil0t on and adroid and of course google maps.

Does t-mobile do 6 months free internet on this handset?
