Good price, but if you have a HDready TV and buying a HD disk player (Blu-ray) why would you want regula Freeview which does not make use of the HD? Surely you'd wait for a Freeview+ HD / Blu ray player.

I reckon this freeview HD is a con, its gotta be a firmware update? If it can display 1080p, sends the signal via HDMI, how can it not just be a mod???

Go look it up.
DVB-T2 uses a different codec, hence you can't decode the signal properly with DVB-T. Hence a firmware flash ain't going to cover it as the decoder can't hack it.

Wiki aint great but hope it helps: en.wikipedia.org/wik…-T2

My Panasonic TX-P42G20B already has Freeview HD built-in - will this record in Freeview HD or Freeview ?

Does this have built in Wifi? if not, how does it stream from the internet YouTube?
