I wonder if you can buy it online and then speak to Sainsburys to price match with their in-store price ?
If you cant get it at Sainsburys Tesco Direct have it for £79.97

Went today. I hate the wires tho. Is that a blu ray you get cos iv got 3d blu ray and that would be no use
wish it was blu ray
way overpriced for a start. It looks like it's worth around 60 quid, ok for someone on an extremely tight budget
I saw this aswell, Still is'nt worth it... 300watt.. £45 maybe

Who cares? It has divx playback, Blu Ray, DVD and whatever other optical media they come out with is obsolete, who wants a physical disc?
this can be region unlocked (google for it) as well. I got this last month as a gift from tesco (used 10 off code and got for 69).. if only i had known that this deal was going to come up !!! for a small size room its adequate. no hdmi in/out though.. which is the only drawback
can you plug this into/or plus a PS3 into this?

Sorry to break it to you, but physical media is here to stay for some time, especially when it comes to movies where people tend to want the highest quality version possible.

You could, but you would only get a stereo output from it. To get 5.1 you need a receiver with optical in or preferably HDMI in.
so no optical or hdmi? bobbins...

Maybe... just maybe... they want it with blu-ray as they already have a collection of Blu-Rays? Ever think of that one hot shot?
I was looking at getting this as I already have a Ps3 for blu rays but its not compatible and gets poor reviews because of this.
There are no hdmi or optical connections - it's obsolete!
My old Samsung surround which is about 5 years old is better than this...

I don't understand peoples hate for the wires. Isn't like its ethernet. They fit snugly under my rug, coffee table, under sofa and then up the inside legs of the end tables. You know you have a wiring problem when the room you are putting them in is too big!

Simply cannot compete with a 1Kw system.

really? Wouldn't want to be the unfortunate who purchased this to go along with a brand new panny with mega duff 10watt speakers then!
no optical output...Completely useless. Waste of money COLD
Seen a couple of boxes in Sainsbury's today....

User manual indicates stereo analog input only..

Can we not just rape this and use for a PC or rear PC setup ?

ps What's the sound quality like ?

"Highest quality vesion" - you can get this via digital downloads. There is no need for physical media. HD Media streamers steam 1080p/Full BR rips. My 3Tb externals hold a lot of media, and save me a lot of space.
Cheap'ish budget alternative is the LG BDH9000 5.1 3D Blu-Ray from Amazon for £169
amazon.co.uk/gp/…X3G

Has optical input and HDMI. But cannot do audio return over HDMI

Not really, even the services offering good quality streaming/downloads don't quite match the quality of the actual Blu-ray.

It's irrelevant anyway, the vast majority of people still buy DVDs and Blu-rays rather than using download or streaming services.
507 heat and I bet not one person bought it. These store specific deals get daft amount of heat. If you voted hot then please go and stick your head next to a sub but not this one as it won't do anything!

Though it may not be nationwide, but then again it has been found in some other stores as following two members have reported.

Dolby Pro Logic II is SOOOO last decade...
I already have a Sony B.R. player BDP-S360.
Can anyone suggest a AV & speakers only unit like this that has HDMI in/out connections @ a reasonable price tag. I don't suppose they would be anywhere near this price but it would make my system complete.:)
Cheers for any assistaance.
