Thanks, ordered. Was looking for a 2.1 system but at that price I cant resist!
Ordered thanks, fantastic price for 3d blu ray home cinema system
Out of stock already!
Dam oos.
Can you get iPlayer on this?
Dolby TrueHD but no HDMI in? How does that work? I thought you needed HDMI in for TrueHD/Master Audio.

Edit: Oh right the bluray player is also the amp. Well this is a bit rubbish then, only good for blurays, not suitable for games and such.

Back in stock for delivery, I just bought one.
Also, it has an optical in so should be fine for games in 5.1, just not at TrueHD quality
Please unexpire!

Agreed back in stock free delivery. Hot!

Anyone know what the net cast lineup is? I can only find YouTube and BBQ iplayer listed? Does it work with 4od and itv player? How about 1channel and watchseries? ;p

It has Netcast 1.0 so iplayer should be included

LG Blog
"nine new applications including BBC iPlayer, movies on demand from Acetrax, Google Maps, Facebook™, Twitter™ and an Internet radio application are now available"
Extensive googling doesn't bring up the list of 9 new apps, is it top secret info?
How many old apps were there before the update?
Got mine today but will check it out properly....

Heard it instore yesterday after ordering it and was quite impressed with the sound quality. Might find an APT-X bluetooth adaptor to fit into the composite audio in and possibly powered by the usb port.....

I got mine today too. That was fast considering the double bank holiday. First impressions, sounds great, easy to set up. I need to get a optical cable as it doesn't come with one, or a HDMI cable. Tight gits ;-) I have only tried you tube, iplayer etc so far as I don't own any blu-rays. Will try some downloaded content later.

Out of interest, what's a APT-X bluetooth adaptor? What's the advantage of using that?
Cool.

It uses lower compression to A2DP so the sound quality is better (via Bluetooth), but should also be backwards compatible with older Bluetooth devices.... My HTC One X has it built in, am guessing the Samsung Galaxy SIII may do and other future phones.....

No, afraid not. It might be added in the future, you never know

Off the top of my head it has Youtube, Daily Motion, Accuweather, BBC iplayer, a movie trailers site, a couple of movie sites I've never heard of (subscription) and maybe some others you'll never use...
Thanks 4 answering!!!

No worries, hope yours turns up soon. You'll love it! Post back with your thoughts

I managed to get one from Currys PCW Guildford. Instore price was £169.97, I did ask for a price match with the online price but was turned away. Called them again the next day and tried my luck, and this time a helpful guy agreed to match the price. FYI, they have 12+ units.

First impressions look good, but no optical cable included is a negative. Waiting for the optical cable from Amazon now as none in poundland near me.

Also, I did try the online update and was expecting Netflix/Lovefilm apps to appear, but sadly no extra apps appeared after the update. Does some one know if the LG Universal Remote Hack to get the hidden service menu will work with this unit as well. The trick is to use a universal remote to activate the hidden menu and then enable various features, also changing the country to USA in hidden menu activates Netflix on some EU LG units.

RDS: I tried the inbuilt FM tuner after connecting the FM antenna, but I was getting very poor FM reception indoors with only 1 FM station out of 10 in my area.

Lucky for you! At least they didn't cancel the order.
I know yes I was quite surprised when I got the e-mail.
Watching Sky F1 which is allegedly in DD 5.1. Anyone know if i can tell somehow? I have the unit in Optical mode connected by Optical cable from the TV (LG 47") none of the buttons seem to tell you. They do when watching other sources from the unit.

Is the info/display button not working?

Is the info/display button not working?

No, not on the display panel or when viewing the Optical screen on input HDMI3.
How is it connected to the LG player?
From the Sky box or from the TV?
Have noticed a lot of tvs do not send 5.1 surround sound over but only stereo which is annoying.

I am really impressed with this system though, the dnla works well, although having a few issues with subtitles displaying, going to test this out a lot more once I get a chance but using Serviio from my Windows Home Server HP Proliant machine....
Got offered the 6620s also, phoned up and confirmed that, then today received a Samsung BD-E5300 in the post (which retails at 69.99!! so £100 less than the LG we were originally offered)... NOT HAPPY! Anyone else received their replacement
i got my 6620 yesterday :-) cant get iplayer to work tho :-(
