Oh I'm going to show my age here, I remember getting really excited when quad speed rom's went under the £100 mark!! lol

Have some heat

I remember getting excited when I could afford to upgrade my processor from a 286 to a 386...

I waited a long time for BDR to become affordable too, but we're not there yet as the media remains scarce and expensive. With the falling cost of HDs I now doubt if I will ever buy a BDR, because something better will be along before BDR is irresistably priced.

Youngsters the lot of you...
I remember getting excited buying a new set of beads for my abacus.

Bah humbug. I remember getting excited when I found a clean bit of space on a wall in my cave which allowed me to use a rock to scratch equations on. My favourite was
Club + Woman = Baby. And that doesn't refer to a nightclub.

Freezing:(

I still have an LG dual BD/HD DVD burner and have yet to burn a high def disk on it because of the high media cost. Been better off getting a DVD burner TBH.

Cheaper to buy 1TB external hard disk or disks, I will buy BD burners when they are £19 and the media is £20 for 50 till than it is a no go!

This all depends on the intended use.
I need mine to burn AVCHD from a HD Camcorder into a blu-ray. I can't give a 1TB external HD to my parents once I've created the holiday video ! Plus the 16GB SDHC I use are around £15 card so not going to keep the source material on those either...

BD25's work out at about £1.20/unit when bought in packs of 10. Not too bad.

One word of warning, i have a oem blueray reader and getting the software for it was a nightmare, if you want to pay for the software the cheapest i could find was £50
