seems a very good price, does anyone know if i can use a different network with this phone after i've used up the £10 top up? my current phone is with Tesco mobile and the costs are much cheaper.

don't know about networks but this is a decent phone. The whole touch screen stuff is a bit gimmicky if you ask me. I have this handset and it works very well for a budget handset.

You could use an Asda sim in it without unlocking. Asda are 4p for texts and 8p for calls

Pity its not on orange. I would of snapped this up.

Is the offer on different colours...daughters wanting pink one for crimbo

£7.50 Quidco on there, too

are phones on this website not unlocked anyway

i wouldn;t use the website as its flagged up as fraud by my bank but seems a good deal

Anyone got one of these - I'm thinking of buying one - you reckon they're any good?

If your daughter is anything like ours - She'll love it! Tesco do the pink one, we ended up getting the 02 phone and they only do White from tesco for more money. Looks like the prices are starting to drop on this.

You might be interested in getting a case for the phone, as friends have said it's easily damaged when left in pockets and bags. amazon.co.uk/EMA…1-3 other colours available from £1.99 + £2 postage.

What does Clearance mean? as e2save also have the same phone with VF (but not clearance) for £68.99 as already posted in HUKD.

superb phone - and an absolute steal at that price..

gf ha this and it was fine for the first couple of months, but then started getting slower and slower - to the point where it takes 30 seconds to unlock the thing. Weird.

wouldnt buy it tho

Just got this phone for Orange PAYG (not from e2save).

So far, mp3 player is Ok (but crap headphones - get an adapter so you can use your own), applications are useful and there are quite a lot of free games you can download from Lgmobile website. Mp4 playback allows you to play suitably converted video files, I've been watching quite a few TV episodes, very good except when you turn the phone to landscape then it's a bit worse. Still plenty of bang for your buck. Oh, radio is OK too. Got mine from Mobiles.co.uk and due £10 back via quidco.

I've used it many times, no problems

good find I bought one of these recently for £96 - just bought one for the misses. After I did the transaction I got a call from the bank to confirm it was me.

easy to unlock yourself for any network

is this a 3g phone?

no

I have the phone, don't like it, it switches off regulary on it's own, you end up sending a shed load of blank texts as the phone is often slow to respond to actions. I plan to head back to Nokia at some point soon.

The Camera is also rubbish, you move or the subject moves slightly, and it's a blur, video camera is not bad though for a phone

Don't buy anything from e2save!

They sent the thing real fast; however, the handset started going wrong 2 days later and even I sent it back, it came back not working. It was so bad that I did not even know whether it was on or off.

Listen to me as I had been stung and I lost £6 posting the crappy thing back and now I lost my £10 topup card.

You have been warned. By the way, Leicester trading standards email address is
[email protected]
You will need it!;-)

as far as orange goes I would never recommend right now, seems since there integration with t-mobile network over the last few weeks is causing major problems across the network with signal and reception... :x :whistling:

Pretty bad reviews compared to the tocca lite, especially with frequent lockups and battery life.

Hi, I think e2save are part of Carephonewharehouse and they tend to sell unlocked phones on PAYG. Can anyone confirm if e2save phones are unlocked? Also, someone mentioned that these are easy to unlock, can you give details?

Having had this phone now for 6 months (refurb from Virgin) - I can honestly say this is the best phone I have had in some 18 years of owning these things (Nokia, Siemens, Samsung, S.Ericsson, etc). I feel far more involved than with any handset, touch screen is ace to use, as are the features - esp drawing - which my kid loves doodling with (even without additional downloads).

Easily opened for other networks - quick google search. Phone only locked up on me once (remove/insert battery), and I got some screen protectors for a few quid rather than a case. Accelorometer which allows you to go landscape/portrait is great, and makes texting so easy. Dont hesitate - at this price worth nabbing up - i've gone thru the pains of googling it endlessley, comparing to all other phones (toco, chocolate, renoir), and price running to see if I can drive it down. I paid £50 refurb from Virgin plus delivery.

I have bought quite a few clearance phones from E2Save and all have come unlocked.I had a faulty Tocco lite which I sent back and it was replaced with a new one,no probs.I phone later to claim back £6 in postage charges and got a cheque in 2 weeks.Never had any problems dealing with them.As part of CPW,you can always Email Charles Dunston to complain if the service you received was shabby.

Looks a good deal but I've heard mainly bad things about this company, even fraud related stuff. I would check them out first on review websites etc. before purchasing.

Pretty good deal, I might get it, and if I don't like it sell it on to ebay.

Presumably even if it is unlocked, it WILL be Vodafone branded?
Also, are there likely to be any issues with sticking an Asda SIM in this?

Does ASDA piggyback on Vodaphone?

The reviews are wrong. Ive got both.....this is streets ahead of the Tocco

Voted HOT because its a great price BUT the phone itself i didn't like. Bought one last year and sold it on eBay after 2 days...its basically a cheap end touchscreen phone...I've now got a HTC Hero and its like jumping from a mini to a rolls royce .

The phone isn't all bad...its ok if u want the gimmick of a touchscreen without paying for a decent one. It does all the basic things well but the onscreen keyboard is frustratingly poor IMHO.

No 3g no WiFi so internet is slow.

2 days?....really gave it a chance eh

Yes, so in theory it should be OK.

You can usually tell within a few hours of playing with a phone if you like it and get on with it and the cookie I just didn't click with....its also worth noting I am a phone a holic and go through 3 or 4 phones. A year!

where you see that refurb deal ?

Has anyone bought a 'clearance' phone from e-save in the past ? The reason I ask, is that there are no details as to what comes in the box .. and the mains charger is listed as an accessory at an extra £19.99. Would they really ship a phone without a charger ??
