Its actually £88.25 with £10.00 airtime because you have to buy the airtime with it

remember 'metro10' to make it a little over £70.

which is a better phone this one or the tocca light? im very confused on which one to go for? xx

Also top cashback offer £10 cashback. I had the same dilemma last night about going for either this for the tocca lite but went for the viewty as its a higher spec. If its no good Ill unlokc it and sell it on ebay I guess!

I have had this phone now for 3 weeks, great phone, i highly recommend it. So easy to use and so fast too. Its my first touch screen and i would not use the button type ever again. The 5mp camera is amazing.

I presume this is LOCKED!

Free unlock using google, free software & a bit of computer skills

What is the Internet like? Quick browsing? Can you log into websites etc, for example login to HUKD?

Do the t-mobile versions actually have the t-mobile branding on the housing/case? I know I can unlock this phone and debrand the firmware but I'd hate to have t-mobile in writing on the case.

sorry all, but what kind of code is this, where from and how much discount does it give?

Why? Have you used one? You should really support statements like that with some justification!

is this better than my old 2g iphone which i am getting bored with
hopefully should get enough dosh to nearly cover the cost of this phone if i sold the old one

How is this compared to the Nokia 5800. Anyone know any better deals than the virgin £18 a month unlimited data for the Nokia (sorry for hijacking the thread.)

not junk but I had it for over a year and found it very slow, texting etc. Can't installed apps so what you get is what you get.

I have moved to having an iphone now obiovusly can't compare directly as it's like £200 more expensive.... but I wouldn't rate this phone personally.

Isee from the spec sheets that the battery life quoted ia roughly half that of the Samsung Tocco Lite. Is this true in real use ? How often do people need to charge them ?

Thanx for the advice every1. I have decided that i dont need a new phone right now. So will pass on this deal. Heat and rep added as gud find!!

I've had this phone for about a month now. Below are some points you should consider.

Its a nice phone but has some flaws... the bad first...

The lite version loses the branded lense, xenon flash and anti shake. Infact if you are buying this phone for its camera facilities I would look else where. The positive reviews for the camera tend to be based on the KU990 and not KU990i (the lite version).

In addition LG have removed the cable, headphones and LG PC Suite 2 software from the lite bundle. The software can be downloaded but its a bit of a pain to find. I had to buy the cable etc from eBay. On that note I have had nothing but headache and problems connecting this phone to my PC. Upon insertion of the USB cable the phone usually reboots itself. When it doesnt do this Windows Vista and XP both don't recognise the device and says that the device needs reset. I'm very PC savy and have tried various drivers etc to no avail. Bluetooh on Vista doesn't work either. In the end having bought the cable, the bluedooth dongle etc, its a memory card reader I use to transfer files to the phone.

So thats the bad...

As a below £100 touch screen phone its very nice. The 3g works well but you will need to get Orange to provide you with a green 3g USIM to make sure of the download speed. Google maps is responsive and ebuddy MSN works nicely.

Battery life isn't too bad. I'm not sure if thats a tradeoff due to the lite model packing less of a punch than its bigger brother. The reviews online for the KU990 suggest battery life is poor but I get about 2 - 3 days use out of mine on standby, few calls and a bit of Internet before requiring a charge.

So yeah good phone. Deffo worth £80. I'd go for this over the Tacco Lite due to the latter not having 3g.

So £79.99 delivered for the KU990, NOT lite version, at Play looks okay?

Tim

Guys, I really hope the viewty lite is better than the standard viewty. The frustration I've had with this phone the past few months has put me off ever owning a mobile ever again.

I'd seriously recommend trying one out in the shop first. I don't even send texts any more using this phone. Cannot wait for my contract to finish so I can get a HTC Hero.

(Oh yeah, does anyone know why three haven't got any android phones on their network?)

I bought one of these from dialaphone for just over £60 plus the top up (after Quidco) and here's my findings:

Bought to replace a SE K800i which suffered an accident involving a toddler and a washing machine.
The replacement had to have at least a half decent camera as that on the K800i was simply wonderful.
The replacement had to be able to make and receive calls and texts without too much palaver.
This is my first touchscreen 'phone. I was a little concerned about how I'd get on with it but I needn't have worried.
Bad points first:
Internet browsing is subjectively slower than a peak time 56k landline connection and is just not worth the effort.
The camera's auto ISO setting doesn't seem to increase the ISO value in line with decreasing light levels and far better results can be got in failing light with manual adjustment.
Although battery life is reasonable with moderate use (about 3-4 days after a few cycles) the indicator has a nasty habit of going from 3/4 full to empty in what seems like an instant.
Good points:
The 'phone I received is the KU990 (not the Lite) and the lens is the branded Schneider-Kreuznach (The description on dialaphone website mentions this branding). The camera is not nearly as good as that on the K800i but then what is? It's certainly far better, with its auto focus and decent flash, than anything else in this price range and quite good enough for me.
Texting using the touchscreen is super super fast, there's good space between the letters and the T9 is not noticeably better or worse than anyone else's.
The little vibration felt when a proper touch of the screen is made is genuinely good, it's the equivalent of good keyboard feedback.
There is no network branding on the body anywhere.
It came with all the leads and software.
It's well made and very stylish.
So, overall, I'm very pleased with this 'phone. Basically it's a mid range model at an upper budget price so I can only wholeheartedly recommend it.
