Obviously a specific deal to a number of LG Smart TVs from 2014 onwards, but a bargain for this double pack.

Compatible LG TVs include: LB5800, LB6100, LB6190, PB6900, PB6600 series.

The AN-WF500 wifi/bluetooth module alone would set you back anything from £16 upwards..actually coming bundled with the Magic Remote which usually costs £25 upwards on its own this is a great bargain for this pack.

Ordered earlier today, and shipped for delivery tomorrow with a 1 hour time slot via DPD...now that is what I call good service too.

It is useful as a pointer device and has a handy scroll wheel...would not have paid full price for it..but handy for the smart tv features and voice activation.

Pretty gimmicky, sold mine over the weekend, not sure why I'd need 2 remotes for 1 TV.

Yeah, I bought this about 4 months ago and do I use it? Hardly, but a nice added touch. Verdict - pointless

In fact, I've just spent the last 15 minutes and guess where it was? Down the side of the couch!

Works with my LG 50ph660v

amazon.co.uk/LG-…est

Dongle alone is £17.00

Seen the magic remotes sell upwards of £15.00 on ebay, that's £10 for the wifi dongle.

I use this instead of the boring two hundred button remote. Everything you need is on this remote, wiggle wiggle click

Hi,
does anyone know if this is compatible with the LG LM640T-ZA TV?
thanks.

No I did say these are for LG 2014 tvs onwards. A quick google search would have told you need the AN-MR300 Magic Remote.

They've been selling this for this price for ages now, I bought one from argos for the same price, didn't come with the single but I didn't need it for my tv.

Single=dongle!! Autocorrect strikes again

I think that is the whole point of this deal, no other seller is selling this as a dual pack for £24.95. The price of the magic remote currently at Argos is £24.

There are two methods of thought that can be applied to this deal :

My own tv does not have built in wi-fi/bluetooth...therefore I could have paid around £17 for the wi-fi dongle or bought this double pack deal for an extra £8 (with the magic dongle selling for £24 it's pretty much a no brainer)

If you already have a tv with built in wi-fi/bluetooth....you could buy from Argos the magic remote for £1 less than this, but with a resale value of the wifi dongle it pretty much makes more sense to go for this pack.

So no, they have not been selling at this price for ages now, you already said yourself only the single magic remote has.

Anyone know if this will work on a TV that used the AN-MR400H remote?

This is for 2014 models, not 2013 models. Unless anyone knows if you can hack backward compatibilty for these MR300 (2012) MR400 (2013) and MR500 (2014)

All depends on LG and their drivers and bluetooth pairing. In theory there should be no reason why they could not be backward compatible, but that all depends on LG and driver detection and if they change the bluetooth pairing.

One of those questions to ask over on AVforums I think, unless anyone here is in the know?

I am amazed at how quickly Richer Sounds have despatched my order. Ordered yesterday lunch time and it is due for delivery in around 1 hours time.

may get it and try it worse case return it back

It is definitely worth a try at the price it is...and as usual the price of previous years models remotes do rise unless you can find them secondhand....hence another reason I am going for this now (although I do have a compatible listed tv).

But it might be worth trying asking the question first over at AVforums....save you either having to pay for a return to Richer Sounds...unless you have a local store.

Use one of these 99% of the time with my UB850 where it comes as standard along with a normal type, great little remote.

Just had mine delivered......of note....

Both items come retail boxed seperately, Richer Sounds have bundled them in a clear polythyene bag.

Therefore if you need one or the other and one to resell, being retail packaged each item can literally be resold newly packaged in retail box.

The wifi dongle (which I intended to 3M tape to the back of the tv) actually comes with a velcro strip for the very purpose and is a very tiny 3x2 inches, tidy solution.

Got one of these at Christmas for the same price. Useful to add universal remote functions to the TV (now - mostly - controls our Freesat box too)...it's a bit of a gimmicky remote though.

...and I'm not sure if the dongle is actually required as I didn't seem to need it to setup the remote on my TV (even though it's one without bluetooth included). Might just be me getting confused though.

Decent price nonetheless to add extra features etc.

Depends on your tv whether or not the dongle is required, ours (50PB660) does not have inbuilt wifi/bluetooth.

The combination of both is very useful, whether it be for miracast, web browsing with voice activation, cursor control for smart tv apps or (have not tried it yet) universal remote functions.

got this to go with the LG 55LB650V TV with the Costco offer. ordered today, got message regarding delivery for tomorrow.

I was amazed at how quickly Richer Sounds processed the order to be honest....ordered at midday yesterday, had the despatch email at around 4pm, notification via DPD of my hour time slot this morning and delivered by around 10am.

Its nice and easy to use. not used the big remote yet

Thought about getting one of these but the Android LG TV Plus app works like a charm - has a trackpad, text input from phone and a scroll bar. Makes the magic remote redundant unless you like shouting instructions at your telly.

I know they HAD been selling it at this price before (there was a previous deal posted here). It expired due to RS no longer stocking it.

They now have it back in stock which I am relieved about because I thought I missed out...and posted it as a deal so others do not.

I really do not know what you are attempting to argue here...

Argos do not sell the double pack, therefore at £24 its moot.

Richer Sound sold this double pack for £24.95, it expired, it seized to be, it was no more...it was removed from their website...

It is now back in stock....it is in no connection to the single Magic Remote for sale at Argos.

Well why didn't you put that they're back in stock in your original post? I was merely pointing out to the people who don't need the dongle (like myself) that there was a slightly cheaper option available. No need to get so defensive, I voted hot before my comment.

Why did I need to put they are back in stock in my original post, not everyone has seen/knew the previous deal existed. Deals are expired and reposted often on here, its never usually a concern or a problem?

Also (although I did know about it as I posted in the expired deal that it is back in stock as the OP there had stated that it is no longer listed on RS website) anyone posting a deal may not know or have searched for a previous expired deal before posting therefore not even comment whether or not items are back in stock.

Maybe because you get so defensive that someone dares to offer an alternative to your deal.

I am all for cheaper deals, I don't appreciate it in threads when some argumentative soul attempts a none existent rival deal and attempts to palm it off as one...such as your Argos one.

If you want to go down that route though, then Amazon are selling it for £23.95. It still is not the double pack and really as I said earlier its a no brainer...if you have a tv with inbuilt wifi and want the magic remote this is still by far the better deal due to resale value of the wifi.

If however you have no interest in the Magic Remote at all and do not have a tv with inbuilt wifi then a 'cheaper' deal can be gotten by buying the Wifi dongle for around £17. Once again the resale value the other way round is worthy of consideration even then.

It simply just wastes my own time looking and replying.

I don't care if you voted it hot or cold, if you are not being argumentative then really I do not know what you are debating....

It was previously listed as a deal, expired. I posted in that thread that it is now back in stock..the day after upon ordering I posted it as a deal.

You mention its a quid cheaper in Argos, it isn't its just the Magic Dongle, you are effectively getting the wifi dongle for free with this deal....

Also your original post did not really make much sense
