I don't really know much about Nanocell TVs or how it compares to OLEDs, but seems decent price for new TV tech

Last year's flagship 55sk9500 is cheaper and much much better

prcdirect.co.uk/lg-…tml

This isn't a 10bit screen, no Dolby vision, on a 60hz screen and is only edge lit.

Can't see any reason at all to choose this over the cheaper sk9500

Yeah but, it uses NanoCell technology.
This is the new tech to replace oled I was told. Does look cheap, but it my be the first set of it generation?

LG Nanocell has been around for a few years, it's similar to Samsung's QLED. Definitely not a replacement for OLED, more a cheaper alternative.
Nanocell tvs have been out a good few years but they were a bit on the expensive side. These are ips panels with nanocell technology. The hdmi 2.1 is the new technology in these new 2019 tvs and i cant wait till the new ps5 or xbox 2 can take full advantage of it 😁
guys should i buy an OLED or nanocell so confused

If you have the cash and have read up how to look after an OLED panel then get that.

Nanocell, qled, uled is just marketing bollox for a bog standard LCD screen to try and confuse non informed customers their panels are 'oled' like. OLED is completely different and far superior. Lcd can go brighter (at least the higher end sets can, not this), and cannot get screen burn, and for gamers has a slightly lower input lag, not that you'll notice.

Those videos are from last year where on launch some people had an issue with the way the backlight worked in some situations, a firmware update has helped since, and setting up the TV properly too will make it pretty much unnoticeable, such as backlight set to low.

I'm having a similar dilemma waiting for the 2019 Philips 7304 set to be released and missing out on that, which is a bargain. I love ambilight and can put up with no FALD or 120hz panel for it, but i do want decent processing and something that does HDR justice. I've ruled an OLED out, because kids.

same here, disabled son stays up most nights when he stays with us so cant risk an oled...but this 55 9500 is a bargain..
LCD for nearly OLED £, Cold for me.
How does compared last year's LG 55KS8100 approx £150 cheaper than this one??
Potential £100 Cashback on this through Quidco or TCB.
