Saw this in my local Sainsburys (Brazen Gate - Norwich) Seems a good price as best I can find elsewhere is £99 @ Argos. Not sure if National but thought it may be of interest to someone.

Looks good, my current Phillips one has just stopped working so might get this to replace it.

This is quite a decent entry level soundbar and great value especially with it's separate sub. LG TV speakers seem especially tinny so this is pretty much an essential upgrade IMO

great price, around £99 everywhere else but it's whether or not there's one at a store near you?
Has bluetooth and a separate wired subwoofer but note you do not get the optical cable with it so pick one up if you don't have one already.

Hi OP - just noticed that the picture shown on the posting doesn't appear to be the same as the spec for the NB2540 as it shows a silver one and it looks a different layout.
Which one did you actually get?
thanks

Why are there never any deals for soundbars with wireless sub-woofers

It was black. Picture on the box is just faded as old stock I guess. It was between this and a Panasonic SC-HTB8 which was also reduced to £69.99 (from £99.99) but went with the LG as it goes with my TV and had the sub with it.

westhoughton had 2 in yesterday

I have this, it's 'OK'. Bass is a little boomy, speech through the soundbar is drowned out a little sometimes.
Wireless connection to my LG TV is nice, but it's forgotten every time you turn either the TV or the sound bar off, not sure which one of them is at fault.
The touch sensitive buttons on top of the sound bar are almost impossible to see without bright light.
LG, in all their wisdom, put a big sticker on the top of the sound bar that doesn't come off easily, I had to spend 10 minutes getting the residue and glue of the high gloss surface (which also shows up dust and finger prints very badly).

My Daughter actually prefers the 2.1 on the TV (LG 55LA690V, it does have great speakers) to the sound bar and sub.
If I wasn't so lazy, I would have taken it back for a refund as it wasn't worth what I paid, but I did pay £100, not £70.

I have what was a fairly high end LG in the living room (55LA690V) which has great speakers, but also a budget end LG 42LB550V in the bedroom, and the speakers in that are also decent considering it's one of their low end sets.
I've heard far worse from more expensive Sammys and Sonys.

I have the higher spec 4.1 320W and it's perfect, I have listened to various 2.1 bars though and the LG one was pretty decent in comparison to Samsung and Sony ones.

My only gripe is sometimes it descents to stop playing sound when I first turn the TV on and therefore have to skip all the way through the settings, could just be me though.

im not too bothered about using it for the tv and not too techy on sounbars but would this be worth getting for using just to bluetooth my spotify instead of a bluetooth speaker?
im just thinking about price and quality.
thanks in advance tech people

With LED TV's a soundbar seems to be a must, yet another piece of equipment to purchase, I have linked my TV up to the hifi speakers. Slimline LED TV comes with a price, much prefer my LCD where the sound comes from the source and you can hear what is being said. Am sure all the Techies will not agree.

Thanks, shame it is from pixmania though

Good price - However, I have just returned one as the sound kept breaking up.

why is this getting so much heat? how many other folk other than the op have actually seen this in store?have called 6 stores within 25 miles of me and not one has even got this on their system.

I have but was on display so couldn't sell it to me (yet), soon however the display models will be able to be sold for a further 10% discount on the above price, so I am not complaining as I am gonna get a call lol

Oh God. Believe it or not another sound bar and all the comments to go with it. Fail.

bass box too, very good
