It really is a great price - I would have posted myself except it's only available to O2 users. I have an old O2 sim card that has sadly expired otherwise that would be the deal I went for :-)
Upgrades on CPW are hardly to get....

How much and how easy would it be to unlock from o2 though

Phone isn't locked to any network, you won't need to unlock
From what i have read, all nexus phones come unlocked.

Anyone confirm this? Anyone tried a random o2 simcard to get the £129.99 price?

I tried but it needs to be registered for more than 6 months and to have been used (at least one top up)

Thanks for that, saves me going digging out a old sim out.
Does it have sd slot
Good price. But.... I think it's only getting this heat as a nexus phone. The specs are pretty average for price and build quality is plastic....
Will there be an update after mm?
Also heard battery life is poor

No.

The whole point of Nexus phones are the updates.
Yes, it already runs Nougat preview, and has been confirmed to get Android O too. That's not even out for 15 months - that's pretty good going for a phone which came out last November.
Great phone, great price. I would be buying this if i hadnt just bought an LG. Good find op, Heat

And the openness of it. The bootloader comes already unlocked which means there's always tons of custom firmware and development going on outside of Google. Another major plus for Nexus phones. A big minus though is the lack of micro-SD card and usually always mediocre battery. My opinion

LOL, £125 (if Quidco pay up) for a decent spec phone with full Google support likely for another couple of years...hot on any level!
just bought nexus 6 for 150 used in immaculate condition or I would mayb have got the o2 deal.i have it running developer preview 4 on Android N and it runs like a dream getting five hours screen time which is good for nexus 6
Which is better, this or the Motorola Moto G4 for the same price?

This by quite some way. The Nexus 5x is very close to flagship phone quality.

do you get order confirmation on mobile sms too or just via email?

I got an email confirmation, funny enough the number I used to upgrade was on o2 but I don't know where the sim is and ain't seen it for over 5 months.

Such a hard question to quantify and translate to your usage as it varies massively depending on your location, screen brightness and apps you run. I don't know why people are so fascinated on getting "x" hours SoT...

It'll get you through the day if you're a normal user.
If you're not - then you probably have a £10 battery pack already.

Yes, it won't last all week, or 2 days even. But I rarely have to use a charger before the end of the day.
Nav'ing in the car? Use a car charger.

There, it'll be fine

Is this worth upgrading to over a HTC One M8 ???

Cheers! I know there is lots to consider I'm just surprised Googel continue to have below par battery life phones
I had a Nexus 4 which wasnt acceptable and friends with Nexus 5 also not really happy

My Moto G1 and Moto G2 however are very good - well were good but old now

Exactly the route I took. Apart from the speaker being nowhere as loud as the One M8 - it's a great phone in all the other ways. Camera, speed, feel. You won't regret it. My One M8 feels so slow now in comparison.

It's all about the apps. Facebook, Messenger and Snapchat are all terrible at sucking away battery. Avoid those, and Android does it's thing with 'Doze' and will last great.

The Nexus 5 lacked a little in 'stock' guise, but unlock the bootloader and flash a custom kernel, and it transformed. Was great once tweaked.

The 5x is actually the first Android phone I've owned where I've actually re-locked the bootloader and kept it stock. Nougat is that good stock - it just works now. Doesn't need kernels, hacks, tweaks, etc.
